Who else wears sneakers almost everyday?
I definitely do and I am so grateful for this white sneakers trend 🤣

Grateful that my job gives me the opportunity to see the kids in my class learn and grow each and every day!

My favourite part of my job is that lightbulb moment kids have when making new discoveries 💡

Letter Hunt Booklet 📖

I made this resource for the little ones to practise letter recognition and to expand their vocabulary! This resource can be used in class as a printed booklet or insert it in your slides, Seesaw or any online platform you use for students to complete.

Online learning, here I come 😂 (lucky I know the kids already so starting off with online learning and new class isn’t going to be as challenging as it could’ve been if I was new to the school 😁)

If you know me well you’d know that I live in my activewear and jeans! No dresses for me! However, when it comes to teacher outfit I absolutely love a good comfy dress! So much easier to move around the classroom and to sit on the floor or work at the desk with my kiddos! And of course comfy sneakers are a must!!

Today I came across this fantastic maths resource by the Department of education NSW

These maths problems are based on Fermi questions strategy, where students are encouraged to use creative thinking and they promote a range of problem-solving skills requiring students to be logical and inventive. This resource is suitable for k-6 students.

Fermi questions are:
▫️ Open-ended problems
▫️Have no exact answer, no definite solution
▫️interesting and motivating
▫️Challenging and rewarding
▫️Create a culture of questioning and curiosity

In addition to the maths problems, included in the resource is a set of questions for teachers to use to promote deeper thinking when solving the problems and to encourage students to explain their working out.

At the end of the lesson, teachers can use the exit slip to gather feedback from students to evaluate the lesson 👍
