Adapting to change 💪🏽
As a nation we are all going through the uncertainty and constant change. We have all been affected one way or another by this pandemic. Many small local businesses are struggling and our hearts go out to them.

It’s hard to feel grateful when there is a lot of negativity around however we are both very grateful to our loyal members. The ability to adapt to change and still continue to want to stay active during this time inspires us to continue to do what we love. For that we thank them 💙

Receiving essential feedback is vital for a gym beginner entering a new gym or training environment.

Feedback allows for the individual conducting the training, to understand fully whether what they’re doing is right or wrong. Depending on the situation, there should always be some form of acknowledgment.


The main core values of feedback is to help promote the following
✅Encourage good performance
✅Address poor performance & correct if necessary
✅Motivate & appraise milestones

Feedback however needs to be passed on in a correct & clear manner to ensure that its fully understood. If there is breakdown in communication between coach & beginner, it can seriously disturb feedback from being achieved which in return can stall progress altogether.
If your fortunate enough to have a coach looking after your training, ensure to utilise them appropriately.

Communicate your thoughts freely & always ask questions. There’s no such thing as wrong question, just wrong assumptions.

What are DOMS? 🤔
🔹Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness aka DOMS is the soreness that you experience post training.

🔹It's triggered by a repetitive stimulus (resistance/cardio based). Its usually brought upon by performing movements that targets muscle groups that haven't been utilised in a while.

🔹The onset affects usually last from 24-72hours post training. The timing is varied dependent on the individuals recovery capabilities.

Should I be experiencing 'DOMS' after every workout for it to be considered a “good workout”?

🔹The answer is NO. You should not be striving to feel sore after every single workout.

🔹It can affect your performance and the quality of your workouts!

🔹Instead strive for quality workouts that can be repeated and progressed over a longer period of time. Longevity in training is key.

So to wrap up, Doms can suck but it is all for the greater goood of gains 💪🏽💪🏽🤩
