No doubt there would have been some 1st round surprises, some cracking goals and the return of some of Galway's finest 5-a-side teams if we were all set to kick off in the morning!
Keep safe and well folks, we'll be back ⚽️

Well done to everyone involved in the successful search and rescue of Sara Feeney and Ellen Glynn off the coast of Galway earlier today.
The girls spent 15 hours at sea after getting into difficulty whilst paddleboarding in the Barna/Furbo area.
This miraculous story has lifted the spirits of everyone in Galway and beyond after they were successfully returned ashore safe and well by local fisherman Patrick Oliver and his son, Morgan who were part of the team of volunteers who rallied to search for Sara and Ellen.

Definitely the weather ☀️ for the Fives in Salthill Park this weekend but unfortunately due to COVID-19 we are unable to be there.
We'll be back though 💪
Some good memories of this weekend with some excellent football, great music and entertainment and of course funds raised for charity.
If we had gone ahead, who thinks they would have won it, been top scorer and player of the tournament?

Best of luck to everyone on the Galway committee, this year’s Galway competition is on today at salthill park.
The competition is a different set up this year as there’s a tag rugby tournament also under the fivesforlives banner. The tag rugby tournament is something new to us but the committee have brought in great help and it’s surely going to be a success.
This years tournament is solely focused on awareness and getting as many people in Galway involved and together. Bringing two of the best sports played in Galway together on the same field at this great event is something that’s never been done in Galway. Please get down there and show your support.
Fivesforlives is not a club, sport or business, it is a group of volunteers getting together working hard and I personally applaud the Galway side for taking on so much. Well done everyone and as I said before fivesforlives is just GETTING STARTED.
Best of luck today guys and all the best,
Fivesforlives Sydney
