🌪️ SIGNED | JOE HAWKINS 🌪️
The Hurricanes are delighted to welcome exciting representative all-rounder Joe Hawkins to the club for the 2026/27 season! 🌪️
Joe joins the Canes from Derbyshire County Cricket Club, having progressed through the Derbyshire pathway before making his First-Class and List A debuts for Derbyshire in 2025. His performances have also earned recognition at international level, representing England U19s.
Another hugely exciting addition to the Hurricanes as we continue building towards 2026/27.
Welcome to North West Sydney, Joe! 🌪️

A huge congratulations to Dave McDonald, Ameen Dole, Michael Phillips, Stuart Tiley and Andrew Robson on their selection to represent NSW at the Over 50s National Championships! 👏
The National Championships will take place in Perth, Western Australia, from 21–27 November 2026, bringing together the best Over 50s cricketers from across the country.
It’s an outstanding achievement for all five players and an incredibly proud moment for the Hurricanes. With five players selected, the Hurricanes are the single most represented cricket club from NSW in the squad — a fantastic reflection of the quality, depth and experience within our club.
Congratulations to all players selected to represent NSW, and especially to our five Hurricanes. We can’t wait to see you wearing the blue in Perth 🌪️

This evening, members of our club had the privilege of attending the annual Shires Dinner, celebrating team and individual success across the Sydney Shires competitions.
Congratulations to Warringah who won the overall Club Championship for season 2025/26, in what was a very successful year for their club.
Our own club results were also a highlight of the evening, with our Frank Gray and 1st Grade 1-Day Cup Premierships…the very first premiership in Hurricanes club history in the 1st Grade competition.
I’d like to also congratulate Jack Hansen for winning the Frank Gray Player of the Year, and Harvey Cutmore for being a part of the Shires Team of the Year.
Well done boys on a fantastic season!

With our 2025/26 season coming to an end, I thought I’d provide a quick season review.
Our premierships in Frank Gray and 1st Grade one day competitions were amazing results for those involved and for our club.
With our 1st grade side making semi finals in the 2-day format, and our 2nd grade side making the final, our top grades have had an incredible season.
Our 3rd and 4th grade sides were in finals contention right up to the final rounds, showing great fight.
Our 5s, Metro teams and Chappelow Cup Gold had a number of good performances during the season. With some of our younger players in these teams playing at this level for the first time, there was a lot learned over the course of the season, and we hope that this learning can be taken into future seasons.
We also welcomed our Chappelow Maroon team to the club this year, finishing in the top 10 and enjoying their season with our club.
And for our veterans teams, our o40s Masters finished on a high, beating the top placed Burwood to deny them the premiership. Our o50s Classics Maroon and Gold teams had breakout seasons, both finishing the season with wins and finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively in a first past the post format - an incredible result for our first participation in this competition format.
Please keep an eye out for details on our Presentation Night and AGM which will both take place towards the end of May. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at these events, where more stories of the season can be shared!
