Thursday is our 2nd Lower Day of the week at
Our crew have the choice of box or back squats first up through this phase. Some are elevating their heels, some are using safety bars, others are learning the pattern with higher reps and lighter loads. But most importantly, everyone is squatting and progressing at their own level.
Tomorrow shifts back to the upper body which allows the lower body to recover from today’s work.
If the week started busy, you can still train at lunch or tonight and back in again tomorrow while still hitting the main movement patterns and muscle groups across the week. You don't have to wait until Monday to get going again.
Monday → Lower
Tuesday → Upper
Wednesday → Engine
Thursday → Lower II
Friday → Upper II
Saturday → Community Conditioning & Coffee
Our split and structure allows you to train daily and recover well between sessions, but also see amazing progress from just 2-3 sessions per week while ticking the boxes across strength, conditioning, mobility and recovery.

Another big week ahead at
Getting stronger.
Moving better.
Training alongside great people.
Final week of the current phase this week, which means intensity ramps up as we build towards our next 4-week phase and testing.
We’ll be refining technique, building strength, improving mobility and continuing to put in consistent work for now and the long run.
It’s also Week 2 of our Beginner Strength Course, with the crew continuing to build confidence and learn the foundations in a supportive environment.
Strength. Movement. Community.
That’s what Blue Box is about and this Saturday after our weekly Community Conditioning session, we’re heading out for our quarterly hike. Leaving Redfern at 8:30am and heading to La Perouse for a 7km coastal out-and-back to Cape Banks followed by a dip and coffee.

Anthea had been out of the gym for a few years, so coming back felt a bit intimidating.
She wasn’t starting from scratch. She just needed the right environment to get going again.
She started with a 1-1 intro session in late December, then moved into a 7-day trial.
She didn’t wait for January. She just got started.
She’s found a really supportive atmosphere.
The coaching, along with the support from other members, has made a big difference.
She’s been training consistently since.
Her strength and technique have come a long way, but more than that she’s become a big part of the gym. She brings great energy every session and we genuinely love having her at Blue Box.
