MEET THE TEAM:

If you’ve ever heard a racer yelling aggressive affirmations out the back, it’s probably Alex Scott. Driving her first year in Rookies, Alex is a mean competitor, often making finals and doing her team proud.

Our captain Lavo is racing his 11th year in Opens, with Marcus. Lavo’s got the best run in the team, and we love to watch his little legs screaming across the sand almost as much as we love to see him in Cate’s handmade crochet bucket hat (unsponsored ad .crochet )

Ken Yardy is crewing over 45s this year with Gordo in Best Before 2004. Ken has been away the last few rounds so we’re excited to see them back for states.

MEET THE TEAM:

Cam Callaghan is our (two-time?!) silver medalist, team manager, and Chief ~Vibe~ Coordinator. He’s an original Hammer— this year crewing for Alex Scott in Rookies and also racing Opens with Gordo.

Lauren’s style icon this last round was Cam (as featured in the above picture). She’s racing her first year this year, and spends her spare time doing maintenance on the racing engines. Catch her on the water smelling Helensburg’s Rookie team’s exhaust fumes (would be great if drove a little slower).

MEET THE TEAM
Veteran Hammer, Brad is one of our most experienced drivers and crews, whose contribution to the team is pretty impressive. Brad is also definitely awake at carnivals, though there’s a lot of photo evidence to say otherwise.

Guy’s come over from Wanda to race with us this year, crewing in Opens with Brad. Guy enjoys a deep lunge to prepare for the weekend.

Young Cate is the glue in this team—out for the season with a foot injury, but still attending every carnival as our fierce manager. Heavily involved in the maintenance of our race engines, Cate’s an all-round she-boss. Is it too early to announce her racing comeback for states?

MEET THE TEAM:
Gordon Manuel, also known as Gordo is our resident chef and over 45’s driver. He makes a mean chilli, laughs like it’s his last, and drives the irb like he stole it. This year he’s competing with Ken Yardy in the team Best Before 2004.

Josh Farr is crewing U23s, open males, and patienting. Josh is an all round cutie patootie—nice guy, great teammate. Also, when he gets sunburnt (which is always?) he cools his face down with cold beer bottles.
