Parramatta: Mystery In The Park 🛝🪦
Add the excitement of solving a murder mystery to your outdoor adventure, with our self-guided puzzle-based walking trail. Australia’s earliest inland settlement, the Crescent, as it was first known, was a defensible hill curved round a river bend. At a point in the river where salt met fresh water, it promised better crop growing land than Sydney. Nowadays, a bustling commercial district and transport hub, this trail will take you via the remains of this colonial and convict past and allow you to see Parramatta from a new perspective.

Sydney’s Favorite Iconic Landmarks 🪦🧐
Add the excitement of solving a crime to your outdoor exploring adventure. Do you only have a brief opportunity to see some of Sydney’s most famous locations? Then this ‘hybrid’ trail (mix of other PuzzleTrails) may be just perfect for you. Blending together sections of 3 existing fun-filled PuzzleTrails; Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney’s Historic Rocks and Circular Quay and the Opera House (i.e. this trail shares some of the same clues as these other trails), this adventure is perfect for the explorer that doesn’t have time to tackle those 3 trails separately, but still wants a chance to glimpse those iconic spots, in a single journey of discovery into Sydney’s historic roots! Journey from the North Shore at Milson’s Point Train Station, then over the Harbour Bridge, past the older ‘Rocks’ area, around the waterfront ‘Writers Walk’ and on to the famous Sydney Opera House. Don’t forget to take a camera to capture the stunning views and glimpses of history whilst you unravel clues to help solve your “Whodunnit” mystery!

Newtown: An artists tail 🧑🎨🪦
This fun artistic trail takes you around a diverse, bohemian neighbourhood, where colonial and federation architecture blends with modern design; and street art and graffiti cover the streets, alleys and parks. Don’t misunderstand that this artistry suggests vandalism though. Newtown encourages freedom of expression and flaunts its graffiti with true pride. This is a “double-fun” trail, with not just a chance to search for clues and unravel a dastardly mystery but also a guided walk around some of the best large scale artwork in the suburbs of Sydney.

Royal Botanic Gardens: A Magical Labyrinth 🌵🔎
Add the excitement of solving a mystery to your outdoor adventure with our self-guided puzzle-based walking trail through the natural, relaxing beauty of the Royal Botanic Gardens. Nestled next to the Opera House and overlooking a sparkling harbour, you find 74 acres of peace, fun, exploration and education, making it one of Sydney’s most visited locations. On this site in 1788, Governor Phillip established the first farm on ‘Terra Australia’ and named the bay, Farm Cove. The farm failed but work to improve soil fertility and cultivation has been ongoing. In 1816 Governor Macquarie established the Botanic Gardens here. A succession of botanists continued to develop these gardens into today’s stunning surrounds. Land was reclaimed from Farm Cove to increase the space and the cove ‘wall’ remains today. The Botanic Garden was home to Sydney’s first zoo (1862-1883) before it moved to Moore Park. It is Australia’s oldest scientific institution and one of the world’s most important historic botanical establishments. It is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset and access is free. Enjoy its stunning beauty while having fun searching for clues to solve our PuzzleTrail mystery!!
