Pendragon Dragon Boat Club is located at the base of the Blue Mountains in Penrith NSW, with paddling members from all over Western Sydney and the Mountains. Pendragons were formed in 2002, with its name originating from the legend of Arthur Pendragon (King Arthur). In the Year of the Dragon 2012 we have reached a 10 year milestone as a club. The 2027 NSW State Team Athlete Expressions of Interest (EOI) are officially OPEN for 24U and all Adult divisions (Paddlers, Drummers, and Sweeps)!
Whether you’re a seasoned representative or wanting to trial for the very first time, this is your chance to represent our state, train under incredible NSW State Coaches, and aim for glory at the 2027 AusChamps State v State day! 🇦🇺
Here is what you need to know before you apply:
💪 Benchmarking is Required:
All athletes must complete and submit primary benchmarking results (including bench pull/pull-ups, 2km row/ski erg, and sit-ups) in line with the fitness guidelines. Make sure you keep video evidence of your tests!
⏰ Deadline:
Applications close midnight, 18th September 2026.

What a beautiful day to paddle on the Nepean River! Our come and try day finished with the usual coffee and cake catch up to replenish the tank after a full session of race starts, power and pace with coach Ray.
