🔔 MILESTONE ALERT 🔔
ASH CARTER - 200 GAMES 🐺
This weekend we celebrate our Women’s Prems Captain, Ash Carter’s 200th game.
Ash is one of the few women in AFL Sydney to achieve the 200 game milestone, with most of these games taking place at the highest level.
A true trail blazer of AFL Sydney and Manly Wolves Women’s footy, Ash made her debut for the club in 2014 as part of our inaugural Manly Warringah Giants Women’s team.
Even before stepping up into the captaincy in 2023, Ash has always exemplified our club’s core values. She’s the first to step in wherever our community needs her. From running water or coaching all the way to doubling up at every possible opportunity, Ash bleeds maroon and white.
The ideal club person, Ash is an even better friend to her team mates. She’s made it her mission to make our women’s squad more than just a footy team. A place for us to feel like we belong. She would probably credit our team for our culture. However, Ash is the glue to our squad. She works hard behind the scenes to put her best foot forward as our captain, and has blown us away with her leadership on and off the field.
Congratulations Ash on 200, here’s to many more good times at Weldon 🐺 🫶
We love you!

🔔 MILESTONE ALERT 🔔
CAM GALLO - 200 GAMES
The mercurial Cam Gallo, known more fondly as simply the Bird Man, has been a cornerstone piece of our Ressies team for the best part of a decade. Every disposal is met with a chorus of bird calls from the crowd and his playing style is equally as richly unique.
The Bird Man can play back to impactful effect, or can swing forward and produce some of the most jaw-dropping work in front of goal you’re likely to see. Gallo was rewarded for his longstanding and selfless contribution to the club last year by being a key piece of the Ressies’ breakthrough premiership.
Today, he reached Game 200 over at Sydney Uni in Div 3, who ………….. What an epic milestone from a Wolf who simply bleeds maroon and white. Congratulations, Cam! 👏👏

🔔 MILESTONE ALERT 🔔
TAINE WRIGHT - 100 GAMES
They call him the bull — no fear, no brakes,
He runs straight through whatever it takes.
Head down, full charge, no second thought,
Every contest is hard and fiercely fought.
A maniac on field, relentless and true,
If there’s space to be won, he’s crashing right through.
100 games in, and still standing tall —
That’s why he’s the bull… he runs through it all.
100 games is a massive milestone, and it sums up exactly the kind of player and person he is.
On the field, he’s tough, aggressive, and fearless. He throws himself into every contest, never takes a backward step, and has mastered the art of drawing a free kick when it counts. He’s the kind of player that lifts teammates just by the way he goes about it.
Off the field, it’s a different story. Proud of his Fijian roots, he carries that warmth everywhere always welcoming, always caring, and the kind of bloke who makes everyone laugh. He’s not a big talker, but he leads by example. That quiet consistency is why he’s so respected by his peers and so well liked across the whole club.
A true team-first bloke, always humble, always respectful.
100 games deserves to be celebrated properly — so a couple of VB’s with Taino sounds just about right.
Let’s get the pack behind him this weekend. Howling on 3. 1. 2. 3. (Now you howl)… 🐺

On Saturday, we paused as a club to commemorate ANZAC Day, taking a moment to honour those who have served for us and our country.
We were privileged to hear from Major General Dan McDaniel, an Army veteran with 34 years of service including deployments to East Timor and three tours of Afghanistan and a current Manly Bombers coach, and Dean Schopen, who himself served 24 years in the Navy, who shared what ANZAC Day truly represents.
ANZAC Day is a day of remembrance and gratitude.A day to honour service, sacrifice, and the values that define us: mateship, courage, resilience, equality, and selflessness.
As Major General McDaniel reminded us, whether on the battlefield or the football field, it is a reminder about the importance of mateship and courage and about never letting down the teammate on your left or your right.
At the Wolves, these are the values we strive to live every day.
We thank all serving members, veterans, and their families for their service.
We thank Michael Regan MP and Councillor Nick Beauguard for joining us on the day.
Lest We Forget.
