Sydney Ignite Club has secured the third position of the SBCT-Sydney Bangladeshi Cricket Tournament beating the Dashing Tigers by 21 runs. A big shoutout to our boys in purple for this achievement. 👏👏

It was probably one of the finest Sunday mornings for cricket at the Gannons Park Peakhurst. Dashing Tigers chose to bowl first after winning the toss. SIC lost couple of early wickets. Then it was the 91 runs partnership by Amit and Arup that built a strong foundation for SIC. Sarbe and Kamal contributed vital runs that took the total to 181 runs after 20 overs. It was undoubtedly Amit Sarkar’s destructive 76 off 49 that helped SIC to put a big total on the board.

Chasing 181, Dashing Tigers started well with some big hits straight down the ground from their big hitter Bhubon. But it was our bowlers who kept it simple, bowling smartly, backed up by some incredible catching and fielding. The asking rate kept mounting for the DT and they kept losing wickets. Johirul, Dipak, Reshad, Maruf, Don all bowled fantastically.

Congratulations to our Big Man Amit Sarkar for his yet another match winning performance and becoming the man of the match.👏

It was a great showcase of team effort from our boys. SIC family congratulates and thank all our players for their hard work and team first attitude. 👍

Every single player has put their absolute best during this tournament. We have some new talent inclusions during this tournament and wish them the best for the future.

Finally a big thanks to the organisers of SBCT for their hard work and co-operation and a well organised tournament. 😊 🏏
