A impulse buy of a heat gun turned into Empty Pockets loosing her stripes today. Tomorrows job is to take off the other side

Tiller is getting some love today, rudder is finally going to get a few dings repaired too

Off season maintenance has started a bit late this year. Other than the usual sanding and vanishing this winter Empty Pockets Is getting competly rewired and will be installed with new raymarine instruments and new dynema halyards. If anyone has a recommendation on a sail maker she will be getting a new main in preparation for hammo next year.

Finally got some sails up, learned the halyard locks need some work. She still pointed like a dream. If anyone has a loos gage and wants a free beer and a sail hit me up!

Motor mount is fitted. last major jobs to do before Empty Pockets finally goes sailing again is completing the tiller and rudder box restoration and giving all the winches a well overdue birthday. Fingers crossed this shouldn’t take too much time!

Little more vanishing done. I have a replacement washboard in the works that looks 1000 times better than this old one!

Lots of jobs happening today on Empty Pockets

Empty Pockets has had her first proper inspection done. After some heavy rain in Sydney she seems dry! Although there is one soft spot in the cockpit that needs attention, the rudder box needs a birthday and the out board bracket is stuffed. Lucky Whitworths if open 7 days a week 😅

She has arrived! Time to get to work
