🌺 Lalitha Sahasranamam | Weekly Nāmā Recap | 57–63 🌺

This week, our journey through the Nāmās took us somewhere beautiful — into Lalitha Ma’s divine abode.

From the Chintāmaṇi Gṛha and Her throne of the Pancha Brahmas, through the magnificent lotus and Kadamba forests, to the ocean of nectar in which She resides… each Nāmā gives us another glimpse into Śrī Nagara. 🌺

And then we arrive at Kāmākṣī and Kāma Dāyinī — Lalitha Ma whose compassionate glance fulfils desires and who bestows what is needed on the devotee’s journey.

This is what makes learning the Sahasranamam one Nāmā at a time so beautiful for me.

We began by visualising Her divine form from head to toe.

And now, almost as though the Vāg Devatās are taking us by the hand, we are being shown where She resides.

✨ Nama 58 – pancha-brahmA sanas-thitA

What is the Divine throne upon which Lalitha Ma is seated?

Lalitha Ma is seated upon a throne formed by the Pancha Brahmas, the five Divine aspects associated with creation, preservation, dissolution, concealment and grace.

The previous Nāmas have been taking us closer and closer to Her Divine presence.

From Mount Sumeru, into Srī Nagara, then into the Chintāmani Griha, and now we finally reach the magnificent throne upon which Lalitha Ma is seated.

This Nāma reveals Her supreme position.

The cosmic functions through which this entire universe arises, exists, transforms and ultimately returns to its source operate through Her Shakti.

The next time you chant pancha-brahmA sanas-thitA…

visualise Lalitha Ma majestically seated upon Her Divine throne and contemplate Her as the Shakti behind the functioning of the entire universe.
