U9’s Grand Final - 7 games undefeated but heartbreak in the grand final 💔 Well done team for an amazing tournament 💚⚽️

Kanga Cup MATCH Day 4 completed. It has been a day of high drama, penalty heartbreak & ultimate success. I don’t know about you parents but for us coaches it’s been a huge roller coaster of a ride!

Here are the results of the knock out stage.

U9 Gold - SEMI FINAL
1:15pm v Dubbo Devils. WIN 2-0, through to the Grand Final tomorrow morning. Another excellent performance from the boys in apparent intimidating circumstances surrounding by over 200 Dubbo parents. Our boys stood strong & triumphed!

U9 Black - League match
8:30am v Top Squad lost 0-2, final league match. Again another very competitive match but just couldn’t convert chances.

U10 - Quarter Finals
9:55am v Sporting Rovers Lost 0-9 unbelievably our boys were only trailing 0-1 at half time to a super talented opponent. Tiredness & dejection lead to more goals going in. No matter what these boys were in the top 8 of Kanga & competed in a higher level than our other teams. Massive congratulations on reaching the quarter finals, super proud!

U11 - Semi Final
11:20am v Sporting Rovers drew 0-0, lost 4-5 on penalties. The ultimate heartbreak for our boys. Despite having the better of the play we just couldn’t find that dramatic winner & then suffered heartbreak with the resulting penalties. Still let’s bask in being in the top 4 of Kanga & take pride in the fact we only lost 1 match throughout Kanga!

U12 - Quarter Finals
8:30am v Canberra Juventus Won 2-0, unbelievable match, our boys were simply sensational & produced one of the best performance I’ve ever seen from kids football. Really stepped up & booked their place into the semi finals.

U12 - Semi Finals
1:45 v Central Wests WON 1-0, just when we thought we couldn’t get any better these superstars produced another high quality match to beat an opponent who beat us 4-1 in the group stage. Our boys have simply been AMAZING today, scaled new heights & certainly lifted my gloom after the England match.

Kanga Cup Day 3 ⚽️💚 Overall another amazing day of high excitement, nervous tension & unbelievable results! Today Goal played 9, won 5, drew 1 & lost 3.

New records have been created. For the first time ever we have 4 teams playing either QF or SF tomorrow.

Throughout this tournament we’ve played 26?matches. We’ve won 16, Drew 3 lost 7.

So proud of ALL players, Coaches & parents, everyone has played their part.
