Lucky last of the lineup 😇
I was not expecting to race in HYROX, but Wess Akkoumi called

Solo soldier Jourans Minasian 😤
🗣️ PSA: He actually got 1:23 but got a 3 minute penalty for going to the lunges station before farmer’s carry 😂
Anyways, this guy took an extended holiday from Massive Workouts due to conflicting work schedules, rocked back up a few months ago and went all in on a HYROX Men’s solo 😮💨
Jourans has been a long-term athlete of ours and has always showed up, done the work, rinsed and repeated — for YEARS. When he came back, we knew it was all business 💪
His work ethic is unrivalled. Always a positive support inside and outside the gym, and always ready for a challenge, no matter how difficult it may be. He’s already got his sights back on another race in future, and is already locked in on what time he’s projecting for 👀

Woohoo! Our wonderful Jess Stevanovski and her friend Linda completed their first HYROX Doubles together 🙌
Jess has put so much effort into her running over the last few months, building up her comfort and confidence levels with hitting longer distance runs, and it has now been commemorated by this awesome achievement. We’re so proud of you 🏆
It’s one thing to keep doing what you’re good at, but to deliberately lean into an area of improvement and commit the hours, weeks and months to it is really a testament to Jess’ mental fortitude and her self-discipline.
One run became two. Two became three. And then slowly pace improved and shorter runs became longer. BUT, most importantly, her confidence grew.
Jess is an absolute weapon on the RowErg and SkiErg, so to see that training excellence pour into her running has been a real pleasure, especially when she started hitting the long distance runs.

Nela Katarina Volpe reppin’ the 6pm class!
The girls have been training partners for the longest time, and to be able to share the race floor with each other captures such a special bond 🙏
A lot of reps and partnered WODs, HYROX practice simulations, FOREIGN SATURDAY 6:30AM CLASSES FOR KAT, shared emotions in the lead up to the event, and both did so well.
Being able to see an enormous growth in training confidence, strength and conditioning over the last few years has been a real pleasure from a coach’s perspective — especially knowing how Nela first came to Massive Workouts nursing knee problems and Kat just having this ✨ a-ha ✨ moment somewhere along the journey and became an athletic weapon 😂
Well done, girls!! Hoping to see more competitive races with you two in the future 👀

If 0 to 💯 was a person, it’d be Judy Tran🐰
Judy went from barely any strength & conditioning training, straight into Massive Workouts about 10 weeks ago and then competed in her first HYROX with Chris … and now we have two 💯’s in human form 😂
Chris also competed in HYROX Pro Doubles with Alex Bui and clocked in an incredible 1:01. Legendary performance boys 😮💨
Chris has been with Team Massive for nearly 10 years now, and his mindset, team spirit and hardworking nature has really set the standard for a lot of our team. Always encouraging and vocal, and now that has pulled Judy into the depths as well.
Can’t wait to see the journey that lies ahead for this couple with about 10 pairs of matching shoes 🙌🙌

LEAN AND MEAN 😤
This gurl is mid-bodybuilding comp prep and still pulled out back-to-back days of racing HYROX Doubles AND ran the Bravehearts 7km run after as well 😵💫
Ronica Sethichaiyen has been another huge pioneer for fitness races at Massive Workouts. She has probably participated in more competitions than everyone at the gym combined — from HYROX, to runs, to Muay Thai and anything else in between 😂
Ronica has seen MASSIVE improvements in her running times, moving from her first HYROX race in 2024 with a time of 1:39 to now 1:21 (1km lap times down from ~6:00 to ~5:00 🙏).
So proud of you! To be pulling all of this off while juggling the mental and physical pressures of cutting and trying to build muscle for your bodybuilding competition in ~12 weeks… Next level stuff ❤️🖤🤍

ANOTHER ONE FOR THE BOOKS 🔥🔥🔥
Tia Meagan Anne back at it with another Top 3 finish in their Age Group, this time taking 2nd place with a 6-minute improvement from last year!! 🥈🏆
The girls are now under 4 minutes away from the World Record (currently ranked 14th globally), which is an extremely mindblowing feat of accomplishment 😮💨
Tia and Meagan have been the trailblazers for HYROX within Massive Workouts over the last few years, always encouraging and rallying the Team to compete. Finally, we made it and pulled together a large handful of athletes — and we couldn’t be more grateful 🙏
✅ The strength and conditioning work we do at Massive Workouts really highlights the crossover into the hybrid athlete movement taking over the fitness industry at the moment. We don’t exclusively train for HYROX, but our training methodology lays the key foundations for hybrid athletes and all athletes across any sport

A MASSIVE congratulations to every TEAM MASSIVE athlete who took on HYROX Sydney 2026 over the weekend 🔥
We’ll be sharing our Team’s wins over the next few posts — the results speak for themselves 🙏
BUT FIRST, and more importantly, we want to thank everyone who supported the journey and came to cheer on the athletes. From Wednesday to Sunday, your energy and love was appreciated. The community would not be MASSIVE without you all.
A huge shoutout to all the athletes who committed to the extra sessions, the extra runs, the time before and after regular classes to watch, learn and practice, pre- and post- race to support your teammates. This is what it means to be a community ❤️🖤🤍
