The complete record of the Australian Handball Club Championship for the last four editions - Sydney Uni stands alone as the most successful club. Since their loss to UQ in 2023, Sydney Uni has gone on a 16-game winning streak, claiming the last three titles. In the last four years, there have been 76 matches and a total of 4,022 goals scored. Incredible!

Congratulations to the University of Queensland women for winning the 2026 Australian Handball Club Championship title in Coffs Harbour on Sunday! 🤾‍♀️🏆 Once again the team finished the tournament undefeated, taking out their third consecutive national title and bringing their total tally to 4 overall! 🥇🥇🥇🥇 An incredible achievement that highlights the excellence and consistency of the UQ women’s program. Huge congratulations to all the players, coaches, and staff on another well-deserved national title! 👏👏👏 A special mention to their brilliant coach, Mayuko Kanda. As the only woman to lead a team at this year’s championship, her leadership and tactical prowess has been the key to the team’s success in recent years. A big congratulations too, to their standout goalkeeper Jemima Harbort, who was named Goalkeeper of the tournament and took home the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award as well for playing a big part in her team’s success. Big congratulations to Sydney Uni men for winning the 2026 Australian Handball Club Championship in Coffs Harbour on Sunday! 🤾‍♂️🏆 Just like the last two years, the team went undefeated through the tournament to win their third consecutive national championship. With this title, Sydney Uni has qualified for the IHF World Club Championship for a record-breaking 14th time. We are proud to see them representing Australia on the global stage once again. We wish the team the very best of luck as they prepare to head to Egypt later this year to compete against the best clubs in the world. A special thank you to Sydney Uni also for their generous support in providing the official match balls for this year’s competition. It’s the final day of the 2026 Australian Handball Club Championship! We’ve had an amazing week and now 4 teams have their eyes on the championship title! In the Men's competition, Sydney Uni will face Canberra, who are making their first-ever grand final appearance. And in the Women's category, it’s a repeat of last year's final between UQ and UTS. Come down and catch the action live entry is free! UNSW has finished their 2026 Australian Handball Club Championship campaign on a high note, defeating Canberra 24-20 in today’s 4/5th place playoff at Sportz Central in Coffs Harbour. A big turnaround for UNSW, who lost 31-21 to Canberra during Thursday’s preliminary round game. This is UNSW's first-ever appearance in the women’s category at the championship. With both Canberra and UNSW at the end of their 2026 campaigns, we wish both clubs the best and look forward to seeing them back on the court next year!!

UTS Women are through to the 2026 Australian Handball Club Championship grand final following a hard-fought 27-22 win over Sydney Uni in today’s semi-final at Sportz Central in Coffs Harbour. This victory follows their earlier success against Sydney Uni in the preliminary round, where they secured a 28-16 win. UTS will now face UQ in Sunday’s grand final - a rematch of last year's championship decider - providing them with a great chance to redeem that loss. See you all on the courts!!
