It’s been more than a decade of steady work for these guys, and it was special to see so many people there to support, cheer, and share the moment. Thanks to everyone who came along — days like this remind us what a strong community we’ve got here.

A really special open mat last night as we said farewell to one of our own — Coach Connor.

Connor’s been a huge part of the NBJJA family, helping our juniors grow, leading by example, and putting in the hours day after day. Last night he was awarded his well-deserved purple belt — recognition for years of hard work, dedication, and the kind of attitude that lifts everyone around him.

He’s off to Melbourne next, and then overseas to chase his goals at the ADCC trials. We couldn’t be prouder. Go do your thing, mate — the whole NBJJA crew is behind you. 💪

Thanks to all the legendary kids who joined us this morning for the NBJJA x .au Footy camp. We were blessed with beautiful sunshine and a great group of kids who kicked, sprinted, passed, wrestled and tug-o-warred their way through the last day of holidays.

We hope we've worn the kids out enough for a chilled out afternoon, a huge sleep tonight and renewed energy to tackle Term 3 💪

Last night’s no-gi open mat featured a familiar face on the mats - visiting from interstate, Katie dropped in for a visit after two years away and it was like no time had passed at all.

This is what makes NBJJA special.
You come in for the Jiu-Jitsu, but you stay for the people. The laughs, the flow rolls, the friendships — it’s more than training, it’s a crew you’re part of for life.
