Had a drive in Round 5 of the MRA Series at Sydney Motorsport Park, running the Gardner circuit with the Oztrack Super TT field.

Quiet, steady day for car #17:

Qualifying: P19 – 1:49.4
Race 1: P16, 5th in class
Race 2: P15, 5th in class
Race 3: P11, 5th in class – 1:48.9

A little quicker every session, three finishes from three starts and the 328i didn't miss a beat.

Thanks as always to CC Tyres, Pinnacle Automotive, Kelly+Partners Accountants, Mirila Electrical Group, 7chairs, and Zoran from BLACK TRACK Towing Zoran 0404 875 032 for the early morning pickup, one less thing to worry about makes for a better day on track.

The Sydney 300 gave Project E36 Racing a real boost, both on track and online. πŸš€

These might not be huge numbers for bigger teams, but for us, they’re massive.

Over the last 90 days, our content has reached 6,545+ social views, with our top Sydney 300 post reaching 1,410 views.

Just like our Sydney 300 result, it feels like a big step forward for our little grassroots team.

Thanks to everyone who has watched, liked, commented, shared, and followed along, we really appreciate it! πŸ™

Thought I’d try something different for the Sydney 300 wrap-up.

Instead of another photo post, I turned the Natsoft lap chart into an animated race trace showing our progression across the full race.

We qualified 33rd, but after the formation lap I couldn’t find my grid spot and ended up parking at P41.

From there, I climbed to P9 in the opening stint before the stop reset us to P19, then David ran a clean second stint to bring it home P11 outright and 1st in Class D.

Red line = Rummler
Blue line = Krusza

Pretty cool seeing the race play out this way. The safety cars, the pit stop, the recovery, and the class win all tell a better story when you can actually watch the line move.

Bit of race data, bit of Project E36 nerdiness, and a cracking result for the team.

So this happened last night.

1st place in Class D for the 2026 Sydney 300, 11th outright!

Standing on the top step, spraying champagne was very cool.

Still processing it.

Wouldn't have done it without our family, friends and supporters.

Friday night pit lane opens in just over 70 hours but who's counting 🀣

One week to the Sydney 300!

Something I've been quietly working on since the middle of last year is finally heading to the pit wall next Saturday.

At the grassroots level, it's often doing more with less that guides a race weekend. With that in mind, I wanted to see what was possible with the new AI tools to help us in the 300s - specifically in the pit stops, where the smallest error can cost you.

So I built the Project E36 Race Strategy app. It's our own strategy tool: live position, fuel and lap tracking, and the part I'm proudest of - working out the exact moment to release the car after a compulsory pit stop, so we clear the mandatory minimum without leaving time in the bay. No stopwatches, no mental maths under pressure.

A fair bit of tinkering has gone into this one, and it gets a little sharper every time we run it. Pretty stoked to see it on the wall.

See you at Sydney Motorsport Park. 🏁

With the Sydney 300 days away, I want to recognise one of our supporters: Kelly+Partners Accountants, right here on High Street in Penrith.

Kelly+Partners help local business owners take control of the whole picture: accounting, tax, structuring and long-term wealth.

The sort of steady, strategic thinking every team needs behind it.

Thanks for backing Project E36. We appreciate the support.
