🚨Backswing feeling restricted?🚨

Add 2-3 of these exercises into your daily mobility routine to improve your rotation, create a bigger turn, and help you move more freely through the golf swing.

🎯 2-3 sets, of 8-10 reps per side.

A few minutes a day can make a big difference to your mobility, power, and consistency on the course. ⛳️πŸ’ͺ

🚨 90% OF GOLFERS FAIL THIS TEST 🚨

The crazy part?

Many of them will happily spend $2,000 on more equipment...

But won't invest $800 into the one thing that actually swings the club:

πŸ‘‰ Their body.

Here's the test:

The Seated Torso Rotation Test.

Sit with an upright position
Place a club across the back of your shoulder.
Keep your hips still.
Rotate left and right.

Most golfers should be able to rotate around 45Β° or more.

Yet when I assess golfers, the majority fail.

And then they wonder why:

❌ They can't create a full backswing
❌ They struggle to generate clubhead speed
❌ Their lower back gets sore after a round
❌ Their shoulders feel stiff and restricted

A new driver might gain you a few metres.

But improving your mobility, strength, and power can unlock distance with every club in your bag.

The equipment matters, but the engine matters more.

Before you spend thousands chasing extra distance, make sure your body isn't the biggest limitation in your swing.

πŸ“© DM "Golf Fit" if you're ready to invest in the one thing that swings the club: your body πŸ’ͺ🏻. Build the mobility and strength needed for more distance, consistency and longevity.

The Seated Torso Rotation Test.

And if you fail it...

❌ You lose power
❌ You lose distance
❌ You increase stress on your lower back
❌ You struggle to make a full backswing

Why?

Because golf is a rotational sport.

If your thoracic spine (upper back) can't rotate well, your body will find rotation somewhere else

πŸ‘‡ How to test yourself:

1️⃣ Sit on a chair with your knees together
2️⃣ Place a golf club across the back of your shoulder
3️⃣ Rotate as far as you can to each side

You should be able to rotate 45Β° or more in both directions without moving your hips.

If you can't...

Your mobility could be limiting your swing more than your technique.

The good news?

Mobility can be improved.

Adding thoracic spine mobility exercises, rotational stretches, and strength work can help you create a bigger turn, generate more clubhead speed, and reduce unnecessary stress on your body.

one of my favourite exercises for golfers because it combines several key ingredients for a powerful golf swing:

βœ… Weight shift – teaches you to move pressure efficiently from trail side to lead side.
βœ… Rotational power – develops the ability to create force through the hips and transfer it through the body.
βœ… Ground force production – helps you generate speed from the ground up rather than relying on your arms.
βœ… Coordination and sequencing – trains the body to link the lower body, core, and upper body together for more efficient power transfer.

A lot of golfers try to create distance by swinging harder with their arms.

The longest hitters create speed by using the ground, shifting pressure effectively, and rotating explosively through impact.

This exercise trains all three.πŸ’ͺ🏻

If your goal is to increase clubhead speed and add yards to your drives, this is a great movement to include in your training program

Best sound in the world πŸ˜‡

Rory McIlroy is one of the longest hitters in golf history.

But it’s not because he’s the biggest.

It’s because he uses the ground better than almost anyone.

Watch Rory's driver swing and you'll notice:

➑️ Massive pressure shift into his trail side during the backswing
➑️ Explosive push into the ground to start the downswing
➑️ Incredible separation between his hips and torso
➑️ Lead hip clearing aggressively through impact
➑️ Clubhead speed generated from the ground up, not the arms

This is why Rory can generate over 180 mph ball speed while making the swing look effortless.

🚨The mistake most golfers make?🚨

They try to swing harder with their arms.

Rory creates speed by sequencing his body correctly.

The lower body starts.
The torso follows.
The arms and club whip through last.

Speed isn't about effort.

It's about transferring force efficiently from the ground to the golf ball.

Want more distance?

Stop trying to swing harder.

Start moving better.
