Australian Dance Adjudicators shares in the sorrow felt across the dance community at the passing of Chris Duncan.

Chris was a valued and trusted presence within our industry. Her contribution was shaped by integrity, care, and a deep understanding of the people she worked alongside. She offered guidance with generosity, upheld high standards with warmth, and brought steadiness to spaces that mattered.

Her influence extended through many layers of the dance world, touching dancers, educators, adjudicators, and studio communities alike. Chris had a way of making others feel seen and supported, while quietly strengthening the foundations of the work she believed in.

We acknowledge the significance of her contribution and the many lives enriched through her involvement in dance. Her impact will continue through the people she encouraged, the values she embodied, and the relationships she nurtured over many years.

Our sincere condolences are extended to Chris’s family, friends, and the wider community who are grieving her loss.

Chris will be remembered with respect, gratitude, and affection. Love ADA 🀍
