120+ riders rolled out from Surry Hills, threading through Darling Harbour, Pyrmont and the Rozelle Parklands before winding up at USyd and Newtown. The city was buzzing — people cheering from the footpaths, drivers giving us the space and the patience, and a whole lot of pure joy on two wheels.

This is what our streets can feel like. Lit up, shared, alive.

I set out to ride from Montreal to New York City.
The original plan was bigger, but the weather had other ideas. After 500 km of rain, decided l'd had enough of getting soaked and called it there. And honestly, I'm glad did. What found wasn't the America you see on the news. It was the America of complete strangers stopping to ask if was okay, offering food, sharing stories, and people who like McDonald's just a little bit too much but will happily carrying my fully loaded bike up flights of stairs without thinking twice. Sometimes the best part ofa trip isn't reaching the finish line- it's the people you meet along the way.
