Two riders, one shared goal, go as fast as possible.

Johann Maximilian and his friend are visiting Sydney from Switzerland and spending the week riding The Carbon Project Eclipse One Triathlon, made possible through our partnership with BikeRental.cc.

This collaboration allows athletes to experience, test, and rent our triathlon bikes in real world conditions, something that is still extremely rare globally. Travelling athletes, visiting competitors, and those preparing for an upcoming Ironman or triathlon now have access to a true race focused machine without the complexity of travelling with their own bike.

The Carbon Project is a new Australian brand built to push limits, challenge convention, and deliver uncompromising performance. Partnering with BikeRental.cc lets us put our bikes where they belong, under real riders, in real conditions, chasing real speed.

This is how modern triathlon equipment should be experienced.

Today is the day. We’re proud to officially unveil the all-new Eclipse One from The Carbon Project.

After two years of design, development, and testing, this is the bike we built to redefine what’s possible in triathlon performance. It is unlike anything else in Australia.

Let’s take a look:

Australia’s First Triathlon Bike – Designed and Developed Locally
We’re proud to say this is the first dedicated triathlon bike created by an Australian-owned brand. Built from the ground up for athletes who demand precision, speed, and comfort at unmatched value.

Adjustable Cockpit Innovation
The Eclipse One features an intuitive aerobar system. The extensions slide smoothly up and down the basebar, with integrated pad stack and fore-aft adjustment for a dialed position. The aeropads are thick, comfortable, and supportive with multiple angles for proper forearm alignment. No more compromises between fit and function.

Designed in Collaboration with Leap Components (Netherlands)
This cockpit was developed alongside Leap Components, known for their work with Team Visma | Lease a Bike. The Eclipse One includes custom 3D-printed SRAM blip mounts, plus SRAM S900 carbon levers with blips cleanly integrated inside the hoods.

Built to Perform
• Glide 65mm Disc Carbon Wheelset designed specifically for this platform
• Wishbone Ceramic Bottom Bracket standard
• TCP Aero Light Saddle with 3D-printed carbon shell and rails
• Complete SRAM RED E1 build with carbon wheels and ceramic BB for $9,990 AUD
• SRAM Force AXS option coming soon for greater accessibility

Performance, Adjustability, Simplicity
This bike delivers elite-level performance in a rider-friendly package. Straightforward assembly. No overly complex internal routing. Built for real-world triathletes who need both speed and serviceability.

Exceptional Value Without Compromise
We set out to deliver a pro-level triathlon bike with the best available technology without the $18,000 price tag seen from other brands. The Eclipse One delivers aerodynamic excellence, premium components, and cutting-edge engineering for under $10,000 AUD.

Behind the Build | Episode 9: Final Quality Control

As we approach the completion of the Eclipse One, every frame undergoes a meticulous final quality control inspection before packaging.

This stage includes a comprehensive visual examination to identify any surface imperfections or inconsistencies in the carbon finish. Additionally, we perform precise measurements to verify that critical tolerances are met. For instance, we use specialized tools to ensure the fork’s alignment is accurate, the brake mounts are correctly positioned, and the fork is centered properly.

These final checks are crucial to confirm that each frame meets our stringent standards for performance and safety. By conducting thorough inspections at every stage of production, we ensure that the Eclipse One delivers the quality and reliability that athletes expect.

Stay tuned for the upcoming launch of the Eclipse One, where we’ll unveil the culmination of our dedication to excellence in design and manufacturing.

Behind the Build | Episode 8: Paint Prep – Priming, Sanding & Masking

In this stage, we prepare the Eclipse One frame for its signature matte and gloss black finish.

The process begins with a primer application, which enhances paint adhesion and provides a uniform base. After priming, the frame is carefully sanded to ensure a smooth surface, eliminating any imperfections and ensuring the paint will lay evenly. This step is crucial for achieving a high-quality finish.

Next, we move to the masking area. Here, precision masking techniques are employed to define the distinct matte and gloss black sections of the frame. Additionally, all mounting points, including disc brake mounts and threaded inserts, are meticulously masked to prevent paint from interfering with their functionality.

This meticulous preparation ensures that the final paint application not only looks exceptional but also maintains the frame’s performance integrity.

Stay tuned for the next phase as we bring the Eclipse One closer to completion.

21/05/2025

Behind the Build | Episode 7: Quality Control & Stiffness Testing

In this phase, each Eclipse One frame undergoes rigorous quality control checks, including stiffness testing. This process ensures that every frame meets our high standards for performance and reliability.

Stiffness testing is crucial for assessing a frame’s ability to efficiently transfer power from the rider to the road. By applying controlled forces to specific areas of the frame, we can measure deflection and ensure that the frame maintains structural integrity under load. This testing helps confirm that the frame will provide the desired responsiveness and handling characteristics essential for triathlon and time trial disciplines.

By conducting these tests on every frame, we ensure consistency and performance across our product line. This commitment to quality control reflects our dedication to delivering high-performance carbon frames that athletes can trust.

Stay tuned for the next stage in the process as we continue to bring the Eclipse One to life.
