My Other Job
In December 2022, my life changed forever.
I was viciously attacked
And in that moment I not only lost my thumb
I lost my family
My home
And I was left with a mountain of debt, physical complications, and emotional scars.
At that crossroads, I had two choices:
• Stay down, broken by what happened.
• Or rebuild and come back stronger than ever
I chose the second path.
And the version of Steve you see today is tougher
More resilient
And more determined than I’ve ever been.
As many of you know
I now work closely with Reform UK local branch as I move towards becoming the prospective candidate for the Maidenhead constituency.
I’m campaigning to change the laws around food delivery services
Not only to protect people from the kind of attack I suffered
But to protect innocent lives like that of the little four-year-old girl tragically killed by someone illegally working on one of these apps.
It has been an honour to share my story across platforms such as:

• GB News
• ITV
• Joe Politics
This is just the beginning.
My mission now is clear:
to serve, to protect
And to make a real difference
Not only in people’s lives
But in this country and beyond.
They say the comeback is always stronger than the setback.
And I promise you this:
This version of Steve is the strongest, toughest, and most motivated version yet.
The momentum cannot and will not be stopped.

As your coach, let me reassure you
I’ve walked in your shoes.
I’ve lived the struggles you’re living
And I know exactly how it feels to want change but not know where to start.
To those who are new here
let me not only introduce myself but re-introduce myself.
I’m Steve.
I’ve been in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years
Working across the globe in fitness and nutrition.
And I’ve helped hundreds of men not only transform their bodies
but their minds.
I’m close to 40.
I’m a dad to one incredible daughter.
I’ve competed on IFBB stages around the world.
I’m a fully qualified personal trainer and fitness coach.
I’m a business owner.
And I’ve lived fitness my entire life.
But let me make this clear:
Nothing makes me better than anyone else.
Nothing makes me more special than you reading this right now.
The only difference?
My determination
my no quit, no die attitude.
When I had my thumb bitten off in an unprovoked attack in December 2022
I had a choice:
become a victim of my circumstances and make excuses…
Or use that life-changing moment to rebuild myself into the man you see today.
Like you, I struggle.
Like you, I have setbacks.
Like you, I’ve had days where I wanted to quit.
But I’m here to show you that you CAN go through the toughest times of your life and come out stronger.
The truth is
The only way to get over something is to go through it.
And the only way to achieve the results you dream of is to
Adopt a no-quit mindset and push forward every time your body and mind say no.

From the day I almost lost myself
Lying in a hospital bed after my thumb was bitten off by a delivery driver
To who I am today.
Yeah, you read that right, bitten off.
All because I just wanted a pizza.
Lost a thumb, had surgery
Woke up days later wondering how the hell I’d rebuild.
This journey isn’t about abs.
It’s not just about muscles.
It’s about grit: 2½ years of pain
The tears
The setbacks, surgeries, broken parts and STILL showing up every single day.
I’ve been knocked down HARD.
But it’s not about how many times you fall
It’s about getting back up, stronger, more determined.
I didn’t quit.
And if i can go from losing body parts and nearly losing hope to becoming the strongest version of myself
Then you absolutely can do it too.
But more than that
Im proof.
Proof that life can break you.
That surgery can rip you apart.
That hope can seem gone.
But that doesn’t mean you stop fighting.
If you’ve ever felt low, broken, or like quitting this is your sign:
You’re stronger than your struggles.
And I’ll walk with you through the comeback.

If there are two things I’ve been ridiculously consistent with over the last 11 years it’s:
My love affair with Dubai
My refusal to let go of gym memberships across continents ;)
In between those two photos:
I’ve traveled the world
Built businesses from the ground up
Worked across almost every corner of the sports nutrition & fitness industry
But one thing that’s never changed?
My commitment to showing up for myself.
Not just for the aesthetics
For my mental health, clarity, and discipline.
Here’s the reality:
There’s no secret.
No code.
No shortcut.
Life doesn’t hand out trophies for “almost”
It throws punches
Tests your patience
Kicks you in the teeth the moment you think you’ve cracked it.
But guess what?
You stand up.
You train.
You build again.
You get sharper.
Because quitting?
That’s never the answer.
Every goal worth chasing physically
Financially
Emotionally
Costs something.
Nothing in this world comes for free.
Every meal is paid for… in effort
Sacrifice, and consistency.
To anyone out there grinding quietly:
Keep going.
No one will ever regret putting in the work but everyone regrets giving up too early.
Here’s to the next 11 years of relentless progress. And better lighting.

As I said yesterday
I genuinely feel like I’ve cracked the code.
This isn’t about hacks.
This isn’t about shortcuts.
This is about building a life of real discipline
Real accountability
Real results
Even when life feels like it’s pulling you in every direction.
I’m a single dad.
I work full-time.
I’ve lived the chaos
The stress
The days where you’re hanging on by a thread.
And I still show up
For myself
For my daughter
For my clients.
Because here’s the truth no one wants to say out loud:
Getting in shape in your 30s
(and beyond)
Isn’t just about macros
Gym sessions
Or step counts.
It’s about learning to take full ownership of your time
Your habits
The food you put in your mouth
Even on the days when life is trying to knock you down.
In the last 2.5 years, I’ve hit rock bottom more times than I care to count.
But I’ve let go of the pain
The trauma
The old stories
They don’t define me anymore.
What does?
How I rise.
How I move forward.
How I lead.
And now
It’s showing.
Not just in me
But in the men who choose to work with me So if you’re over 30
Drowning in responsibilities
But still want to reclaim your health
Your body
And your energy
I see you.
I am you.
And I’ve got you.

Cracked the Code: 20+ Years in the Game & Still Going STRONG
If there’s one thing I can say with full confidence lately — it’s this:
I genuinely feel like I’ve cracked the code.
Being nearly 40
Yes
Can you believe I’m closer to 40 than anything.
From as far back as I can remember
My life has revolved around movement
Competition
Pushing myself.
Swimming for county.
Rugby for county.
Football.
Cricket.
And yeah even sat on the bench for the European Final in 2007 with London Wasps
(let’s be honest… I wasn’t quite good enough, but at least I had a great view of the action 😅).
At 23
hung up the boots
Part injury
Part reality check.
But I wasn’t done.
That’s when I dove headfirst into bodybuilding
The era of “dirty bulks
Chalk clouds
Chicken & rice six times a day.
Bulking up to 107kg (yes, I was that guy at the gym)
Later cutting all the way to 79.8kg for my first show.
Fast-forward to 2024and I’m competing in HYROX
Shifting gears into performance and athleticism. Full circle.
Whether it’s muscle building
Fat loss
Stage prep
Performance
Or just feeling like a weapon again
There’s nothing I haven’t experienced
Tried
Tested
Or coached.

Why Some Dads Come Back From Holiday Refreshed
Others Just Come Back More Tired.
You know the type…
They load up their breakfast plate with pancakes
Waffles
Maybe a cheeky doughnut
Before the rest of the hotel has even stirred
they’ve already been out for a quick gym session or morning jog.
Later on, you might catch them enjoying a gin and tonic with dinner or a cocktail by the pool —
They’re not slumped in a lounger all day getting buzzed.
They’re moving.
Playing.
Living.
They’ve got their steps in without even realising
beach walks
Chasing the kids around the water park
Wandering through towns and trails, soaking it all in.
Present.
Energised.
And they don’t obsess over food either.
No calorie counting, no weird supplements packed in the suitcase.

If you’re looking to actually grow your glutes and hamstrings
Not just go through the motions
The dumbbell Romanian Deadlift (RDL)
Deserves a permanent spot in your program.
Here’s why I prefer DBs over a barbell for RDLs:
With dumbbells, you’re not locked into a fixed path.
That means greater freedom in the hip hinge, and most importantly
A deeper range of motion.
That extra stretch at the bottom?
That’s where the magic happens for hypertrophy.
More glute and hamstring tension
More control at the bottom
Less strain on the lower back
Easier to dial in that clean, vertical arm path without compensating
And no, you don’t need to go ultra-heavy.
Focus on tempo, stretch, and keeping that hinge crisp.
Your posterior chain will thank you.
