Getting fit made easy 😄

Maybe you missed your New Years Resolution or are tired of making fitness a fad. Family and work might have come first before fitness. Whatever the reason. Here is the easiest, most simple way to start working on fitness. Three steps-

The three ways to kickstart your health and wellness journey without putting life on hold :

1. Move more - walk, swim, run, gym, play a sport you name it. Find a way to move your body that you enjoy and go for gold! Aim for 3 times per week for 30minutes to start. Make it a family activity or a lunch break, but make it happen 💪 let’s worry about the details once you have momentum. Bonus points if you let yourself break a sweat each time!

2. Eat consistently - eat moderate sized meals regularly each day. 3 meals, 1-2 snacks. The fads of fasting definitely don’t fair well on the stress hormones of an already everything all at once parent or go-getter. Nor do oversized meals after missing meals because of a long day of work. Even if you eat too much a couple of weeks, at least you start creating the habit and can adjust after. Let’s worry about the exact portion sizes after we create some momentum!

3. Take time to recharge - whether it is playing with the kids, floating in the backyard pool, having a bath or laying on the nearest patch of glass listening to Bach on a Sunday. Find some time to switch off at least once a week.

Can’t get a break?

Live a life of choice!!

Ever felt like the world is on your shoulders pushing you down?

If it was a feeling, it is based on your conscious or subconscious beliefs. Which means you can choose to feel otherwise.

It could be the stress from family, relationships, business, postponing decisions, your heath or all the above.

It is easy to self pity. To blame what’s around us. To give up. To want to throw it all away. To wish things were different. To choose our favourite flavour of suffering and bathe in it.

And deep down we almost enjoy that suffering in a weird way… yea, it’s normal, we are all human. But we don’t have to.

My favourite flavour of suffering has been anger. I use to love the energy that came from getting mad, frustrated, pointing the finger and blaming. It made me feel superior. But in reality it just lead me to push away I cared about most.

So last year I chose to see suffering as a challenge to work on myself and be more open, vulnerable and loving to those around me.

This lead me to starting the brand you see now and to truly open myself to grow and help my clients do the same!

Here’s the lesson I’ve learnt :

You can let labels, the past, your beliefs, the people around you, your circumstances or your emtions define you. Or you can be the one who defines the meaning behind your life.

Make the choice to find the resourcefulness in yourself.

The resourcefulness find or create a different path. To create your own path.

Our emotions are a sign that something about my perspective and the world isn’t aligned. They show us that there is something we can work on. In the case of anger it is usually you are trying to deny some truth.

Any suffering or negative emotion can be seen as a challenge and opportunity to empower yourself to grow.

It’s all a choice.

The feeling of gratitude improves mood and reduces stress. It has been shown to even improve heart rate variability.

So let’s take a moment, what are 2-3 things/moments you grateful for?

Could be about yourself, people around you, moments you’ve experienced or anything really!

Don’t be afraid to feel it even just a little ;)

Life will always have ups and downs but we can always find gratitude from within ourselves when we need.

We all have our own internal safety bubble we can find with gratitude.

TONED ARMS IN 4 WEEKS?! 💪

I’m so proud of 4 week progress!

4 weeks ago Stella was struggling with her energy levels, feeling bloated and bogged down by life. She felt there was no way she could achieve her ideal physique and nothing she tried seemed to create progress.

We started with basics, doing half-length workouts, focusing on correct exercise technique and finding foods that were delicious, suited Stella’s lifestyle and nourished her body.

4 weeks in, Stella is not only crushing the entire workout with ease but has regained her energy and fitness enough that she is returning to her passion of being a Zumba instructor! (Hit her up if you’re in Atlanta, GA 💪💪)

Not to mention we are already seeing physical changes- she’s putting on muscle on her arms, butt and her core is toning up (is that side abs I see peaking?!)

THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE TO SURROUND YOURSELF WITH! 🙌

If you want to reach your goals this is one thing I’ve found to be rocket fuel- it either explodes in your face or launches you into orbit

No it isn’t a strategy, a quick fix or a magic button/potion or fairy dust.

There is one group of people that has to power to largely DICTATE who you become.

We all have friends, acquaintances, family, colleagues.

Many of which will have a profound impact on your life.

BUT the #1 group who influence the direction of your life is your proximity.

Your proximity are the people you CHOOSE to listen to or entrust with your goals (this includes yourself btw!)

Most of us grow up with parents, peers, siblings or guardians as our proximity.

Ever noticed you adopt the traits of those you spend time with?

You start using the same phrases and gestures as them. You react the same way- laugh and cry. Maybe you even start wanting a similar things for your life!

Did you consciously choose to become like them?

What trait could you develop or rid of if you were more conscious of your proximity?

This doesn’t mean cutting people out of your life or being rude.

Instead, it is being selective who you seek advice from and more importantly the advice that you choose to really take on board.

3 EXERCISES FOR AN EXPLOSIVE CORE! 💪

1. Paloff press - this works anti rotation and your obliques. Keeping you stable and training one of the most important muscles to generate force through the core.

2. Partial TGU - these are great to learn to generate and transfer force through the core

3. Fascial sling rotations - directly work the explosiveness and elasticity of your core in a rotation plane (almost everything athletic uses rotation and torque to generate power). This variation has a great benefit of being rather intense on cardio too!
