Rest in Peace Brigadier (War-ie) George Mansford AM.
Enlisted as a Private Infantry Soldier he served in Korea, Malaya and Vietnam. Founder of the Jungle Warfare Centre Tully, Poet and Author and one of the greatest Australians we have seen.
This is his famous quote outside “The Hilton” at Battle Wing, Tully in the Wet Tropics of Far North Queensland.
