We're looking for sports minded, passionate, energetic, and reliable people to join our amazing team. School students (16+), Uni students, parents, grandparents, and industry professionals are all encouraged to apply.
We operate 7 days per week:
Mornings: 7.00am/7.30am-12.30pm Monday to Sunday
Afternoons: 2.00pm/3.30pm- 7.00pm Monday to Friday
Requirements:
✔ Swim Teacher Accreditation (or willingness to obtain): An accreditation course will soon be held at Sutherland Leisure Centre on Saturday June 20.
✔ CPR Certificate
✔ Working With Children Check

Izzy and Lucy are loving every moment in our super Wednesday morning Starfish class, building so many skills, and growing their love for the water along the way!

We’re excited to announce that we are now accepting a limited number of new enrolments for pre school aged babies and children (4 months to 5 years old) in weekday morning classes.
While we would absolutely love to reopen for all ages, days, and levels, unfortunately our current schedule capacity means we can only offer a small number of spots for now.
As things often go at Southern, spots tend to fill quickly and we don’t expect bookings to stay open for long. Our best method of contact is by email due to the busy operations in the centre so please reach out to: [email protected].

Good luck to our little champions (and those who couldn't make this session) racing this week at IPSHA, Cronulla, Engadine and Sutherland Zone Carnivals. We are so proud of each and every one of you! A huge thank you to and her team at the Southern Sydney Performance Centre for hosting us for a fantastic practice and pump up session last week! Swim fast, have fun and give it your all. What a start to 2026! After only 5 days of reopening bookings for the New Year, we've had to again close our bookings to all new enrolments. If you have already booked an assessment, don't worry, we are still working with you. While we are extremely sorry that we can't fit any more new swimmers in right now, our focus is looking after the incredible kids and families already part of our community.

Southern Swim Families, we are so excited to see you back at the pool next week! We resume all lessons next Monday 12 January. We are currently working through a large amount of admin, so if you have contacted us during the break, please know that we will get back to you shortly!

A huge congratulations to our superstar Grace! 🎉 She was voted Southern Swim Superstar of 2025 by her fellow staff at our Christmas party, so well deserved!
Grace is an absolutely incredible swimming teacher. From the moment she walked through our doors, her desire to learn and continually better herself was immediately evident. Grace is extremely passionate about teaching children to swim, and her calm, empathetic nature, intelligence, and genuine desire to help everyone make her truly exceptional.
Grace is consistently professional and reliable, and acts a mentor to many of our staff. She is deeply loved and respected by her team, and we know just how much she is adored by the swimmers and families of Southern.
Congratulations also go to Shellie, who was awarded second place, and to Rebecca and Bella, who shared third place. Unfortunately, Bella was in Fiji at the time and was unable to be present for the photo. As we all know, these four staff members are all highly skilled, knowledgeable, super energetic, and deeply passionate. We are so incredibly lucky to have these staff bringing the magic to Southern every single day.
