When your teacher gives you an assignment that is to show your artistic style and asks for artists that inspire your design.

I love this course.

Every day I'm reminded to make a plan.
Say you want me to draw a horse. Great.
What will the horse be doing
What type of horse
Where is the horse.
Do you want a background, night, day, forest etc.

Previously I would have just drawn a horse.
But if I make a plan, do research, get references and sketch light I get a far better end result.

So if you ask me to draw something for you, know that you will be asked questions before I start.

Today I did something that scared me. I sketched a mother and daughter whilst out with my kids. I then used my fineliners to do some crosshatching and shading.
Then I went and gave it to her.
It's not a masterpiece, it took 2 hours because my arm is stuffed at the moment.
But she was so thankfull and said she loved it.

Jakkal Designs is starting to rev up again. New art incoming.
