Last Tuesday, September 1st, our community came alive with an unforgettable Father's Day celebration, featuring a special NRL clinic that brought everyone together after school! This year’s event was truly spectacular, with 30 families joining the fun—an incredible leap from just 6 families last year. Fathers, uncles, and big brothers eagerly took part in exciting games of tag and tackle, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.

We also set up a secret letter corner where children could quietly draw or write heartfelt messages for their dads and father figures, adding a touching personal touch to the day. The celebration wrapped up with a delightful afternoon tea, made all the more special thanks to our generous community.

A huge thank you goes to Asana for donating the bread, which our wonderful Deeksha and Aneeqa transformed into colourful fairy bread. Senayet’s delicious marble cake was a sweet highlight, and Fahran’s creative decorations brightened the space and brought extra cheer to the celebration.

Just last week, these five amazing ladies embarked on their very first sewing class adventure. They got to know every part of the sewing machine and practiced stitching on paper to build their confidence. Fast forward to this week, and they’ve not only mastered a variety of stitches but proudly completed their very own pillowcase! I’m incredibly proud of each and every one of you—keep up the fantastic work!

Thanks Vera and Vandana for encouraging our ladies.
