Time to pull back and let the body freshen up.

How to have a productive offseason ๐
Nail your food
Nail your recovery
Communicate with coach and make adjustments when needed to continue progression
Major key!!! Get stronger on the same damn movements! has been on the same program for 15 weeks. Thatโs 15 weeks of constant progression on the same movements.
That progression in training really adds up over time!
Only 5 small adjustments to his food when needed to continue the progression.
8kgs up and leaner than we started, with a lot more room to continue the growth in this offseason!
Results like this arenโt for everyone. You need to put in the work ๐๐ป

1 day post NSW show here for
This was also at 6 days out from Nationals.
So no real โpeakโ for this shoot, as comp was the main goal.
Some clients can get away with enjoying a meal post show when there is a quick turn around.
Unfortunately Yacoub isnโt one of them, we know his body quite well and know it likes to hold water like crazy, so after the first show we kept it in control and calculated ๐๐ป
Thatโs the benefit of knowing your athletes and getting in multiple trial high days leading up to stage ๐๐ป

Throwback to the first prep with ๐ช
I remember standing on the side of the stage as he walked out and just seeing the lines in his glutes as he took each step and thinking โwe are fu***ng onโ
Which then resulted in a first and third place.
The 2 that beat him are both pros now too.
Just waiting for Trav to tell me he is ready to run it back ๐ฏ

2 weeks out for
Very moderate amount of carbs in yesterday and today (1000g total), to trial and see how the body responds.
From todayโs check in, I can tell he definitely can hold some more, so next high day will be a bit more aggressive.
Currently watching things very closely on a day to day basis to see where weight goes and if adjustments need to be made.
Right now itโs about finding the look, making slight tweaks and bringing the best to stage ๐๐ป

Some goooood fat loss tools.
Nothing magical, not a necessity, but can be a major help ๐๐ป
Anyone that knows me, I eat boring AF when Iโm dieting (even when Iโm not dieting too lol), because it keeps things simple, easy and less thinking for me.
But small things like low calorie sauces, diet drinks (monsters are key) and caffeine can make a massive difference when food starts getting boring AF.
Giving them taste buds a little loving (little, donโt abuse these).
If your meals taste like cardboard, and itโs making you hate the process and not stick to itโฆthatโs when the discipline can slip. Maybe add some flavour.
Also, Monsters are ๐
They taste good, give you some caffeine and can help with energy during a deficit.
Just donโt be that person having 4 a day (possibly me during prep), sleeping like s**t, then possible GI issues and then recovery is cooked
Use them as a tool ๐ ๏ธ
Donโt abuse them like a degenerate ๐

Compliments to those who do these things ๐๐ป
But on the other hand, you really should be doing this s**t anyway. Especially the first one ๐๐ป
Donโt be that guy or girl ๐

If you do these things, youโre a bodybuilding green flag ๐
