On Tuesday 2 June, Sacred Heart hosted a Creative Writing Enrichment Day, bringing together a group of Year 3 and 4 students from our school alongside peers from local Catholic primary schools.
The day challenged students to immerse themselves in a creative writing experience centred around a carefully staged “crime scene” stimulus. Using this as inspiration, students worked thoughtfully through the full writing process—planning their ideas, drafting a rough copy, editing their work, and ultimately producing a beautifully presented final book complete with hand-drawn illustrations.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to collaborate, think critically, and express their creativity, while also developing their confidence and skills as young writers.

ALTAR SERVERS
On May 23rd, at our Stage 2 Family Mass, our Year 5 students who undertook the Altar Server Training were formally commissioned. Congratulations to these students - Ella, Lachlan, Sofia, Joseph, Thiago and Olive.
Mrs Nolan-Brown accompanied the students on the journey and we are very grateful to Ray Gillis from the Parish, who generously gave his time to share his wisdom and experience as a Senior Acolyte.

ALL IN for Reconciliation - National Reconciliation Week 2026
27 May – 3 June
This week, we join communities across Australia in recognising National Reconciliation Week, a time to learn about our shared histories, honour the cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and reflect on how each of us can contribute to reconciliation.
This year’s theme, All In, is a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day, through listening, embracing truth telling, learning, respect and meaningful action. As we acknowledge 25 years of Reconciliation Australia, we recognise both the progress made and the important work still ahead.
Across our schools and communities, we invite our students, families and staff to be All In, to deepen understanding, celebrate culture, and continue walking together toward a more just and connected future.
How will your school or family be “All In” for reconciliation this week?
