Ringsport Down Under is always open to dog enthusiasts wanting to get involved in the sport of Mondioring. Whether you have a dog, plan to get a dog or don’t have a dog yet but are interested to learn more about the sport, there’s a place for you.

What a week it’s been! 🐕🦘

Ringsport Down Under hosted our first ever Mondioring Trial & Workshop weekend on home grounds after flying over international judge and international decoy from Portugal.

A huge thank you to both of you for not only helping us put on an exceptional and fair trial, but for being so willing to share your knowledge, experience and passion with us and everyone involved throughout the week. The impact you’ve had on our club and the development of the sport here in Australia will not be forgotten. 🙏

To see competitors, spectators and passionate dog people from all around Australia come together for this sport was something truly special.

We also want to extend a massive thank you to every single person who helped make this event happen, you know who you are! From field setup, equipment, organisation, catering, handling logistics behind the scenes and keeping the weekend running smoothly… this event would not have been possible without the incredible teamwork from our RDU family. The collaboration, dedication and support shown all weekend is exactly what this club is about.

The amount of work that goes into preparing for trial day is something most people never see. The early mornings, long training days, setbacks, pressure and commitment all lead to these moments. Watching our team walk away with titles after months and years of hard work was incredibly rewarding.

This is only the beginning for RDU!

The countdown is on for our Dingoes Down Under Mondioring Trial. For the first time, RDU is hosting on home ground and we’re proud to welcome international judge and decoy Celso Alves alongside Pedro Ferreira.

Handlers and dogs from across Australia are coming together to put it all on the line. Titles, personal bests and hard earned progress will all be tested in one place. The energy, the pressure and the atmosphere is something you need to see in person.

Spectators are welcome and this is the perfect chance to experience Mondioring up close, whether you’re new to the sport or have been around it for years.

Make the trip, be part of it, and back the sport, the teams and the dogs.

Here’s a bit about Celso & Pedro:

Celso began his journey in working dogs in 1996, entering Mondioring competition in 1998 and completing his first Mondioring decoy training that same year. In 1999, he became an IGP judge and a Mondioring competition decoy, a role he held until 2019. Over the years, Celso built an exceptional competitive career, participating in numerous World Championships across all levels, including podium finishes and multiple finals appearances. He became a Mondioring judge in 2003 and judged his first World Championship in 2005, later officiating World Championships, FMBB events, and major trials worldwide. A 13-time Portuguese Champion and 14-time Cup of Portugal winner with three different dogs, Celso has represented Portugal at the highest international level for decades. He continues to compete today in Category 3 while also working with dogs within a Portuguese state security force.

In 2022, Pedro became a National Mondioring Decoy. From that moment on, he decoyed numerous Level 3 competitions, including two Portuguese Level 3 Finals. Finally in 2025, he took part in his first Super International Selective in Italy.

RDU will be independently hosting their first trial with international judge and international decoy on May 16 & 17 2026 alongside RDU’s certified decoys.
