I pray for the middle east to have at least one leader for "each side" that would really & truly comes from love and lead his/her people to peace, freedom, acceptance, compassion and LOVE. Amen

Asanas are not just physical exercises. The body and mind are interconnected, so various postures are introduced to allow the prana, the life force, to move easily without any blockage. That will start activating various chakras or centres in your system through the meridians. Of course there are also fringe benefits like improved physical health, increased muscle length and muscle strength and the correction of postural faults.
