📣 CHAMPIONSHIP DEBRIEF & LOOKING AHEAD TO 2027 – ALL WELCOME📣

Now that the arena’s gone quiet and we’ve caught our breath after the National Team Yarding Championship, it’s time to come together, reflect, and look forward.

We’re inviting all members, competitors, supporters and anyone interested to attend our Post Event Review — a chance to reflect on the event, share feedback with solutions, and help shape the future of this incredible competition.

📅 Meeting Details:
• Sunday 26th April
• 9.30am
• UMHA Clubroom
• Catering – Morning tea - ( please feel free to bring a small contribution.🍰)

We’ll be honest…the harsh reality if this event is going to continue and grow in 2027 and beyond, we need more hands on deck long before the hooves hit the sand sometime in April next year.

This Championship has built a reputation as one of the premier events in the country, and that doesn’t happen by accident — it’s driven by a small, dedicated group of volunteers who give an enormous amount of time and energy.

👉 To keep this event alive, sustainable, and delivering at the level it deserves — we need new volunteers, fresh ideas, and more people willing to step in and up when we start preparing months in advance.

Whether you can help a little or a lot, behind the scenes or on the ground — there’s a place for you.

🏆🏆🏆2026 NATIONAL TEAM YARDING CHAMPIONSHIP WRAP UP & RESULTS 🏆🏆🏆

G’day everyone,

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our competitors for supporting us this year, some for the first time and some for the 5th year running.

As we know, it has been a rocky start to the year for many of us. With major bushfires affecting many of our small communities. There was a small window where we thought that we didn’t have the capacity to go ahead with the event. But, once again bush resilience, good old country spirit, a heads down, arse up attitude, and more teams than we thought we could manage, UMHA were able to put on an event that we sincerely hope you all enjoyed.

UMHA would also like to show our appreciation to all our fantastic sponsor’s whether it’s in kind or cash, it is so much appreciated and allows the club to keep improving and giving back to our community.

To our brilliant cattle donors, without you there is no show. UMHA is so lucky and proud to have farmers on side who we can call on. We all go to events and the cattle "are just there". Our cattle donors give us their livelihood so we can have a sport, whether it’s team yarding or campdrafting or even Stockman challenges . To have strong relationships with you is a real privilege. THANK YOU

UMHA sincerely appreciates all of our Volunteers. The planning for this event starts months beforehand which allows the weekend to roll on smoothly. A hell of a lot happens behind the scenes that no one ever sees or knows about.

To the people who were there earlier in the week and gave their help and support, we sincerely thank you.

Lastly congratulations to all the finalists that made it through. Out of 420 runs over the weekend, the Top 14 teams were left standing.

The club hopes the finalists enjoyed their time. We really try hard to make it a special occasion for our finalists and spectators.

A big congratulations to Dave Falzon , Andrew Sobotnicki and Jeff Azzopardi.

You are now the 2026 National Team Yarding Champions. No small feat. Well done... Don’t let the pressure get to you knowing the rest of us are now gunning for you 😉😉

All the anticipation kicks of at 8am for Rider Briefing.

The main arena will become electric with excitement at 9am with rider introductions, grand entrance, National Anthem sung live and then the moment everyone is waiting for....
Top 14 Teams battle it out for the largest cash and prize pool in the country!

Come on down, grab a coffee and egg & bacon roll and watch the best teams complete 3 runs each until the Champions rise to victory! 🏆
