Today marked the final group class for Manning Indoor Rowing. Thank you to everyone that has supported me over the last 3 1/2 years. It is hoped that Indoor classes will return in the future as part of the new programs that will be on offer with the new look Manning River Rowing Club.
This page and the website will continue to share workouts and training tips.
The machines will be available for lease soon and I know a few of you have already put your name down. I will post information soon about how to lease a machine for your personal use or for use by other fitness industry providers.
Happy Rowing
Hugh

It is with regret that I am announcing the closing of Manning Indoor Rowing.
The program worked well as part of the rowing club and saw a tremendous boost to membership and greater exposure of the sport. My objective was to get more people rowing. I feel as if I have succeeded. classes will continue until the end of September then cease.
After the March storm that tore the roof off Manning River Rowing Club there has been a significant drop in attendance despite the generous support from Stacks Finance in providing an alternative venue.
I am now pursuing a new career in a local business that can provide me with a sustainable future.
It is my hope that when the new development of the Rowing Club is complete, Manning Indoor Rowing will return as part of the programs and services the club plans to provide to the community. To see the plans and/or make a donation to the rebuild visit the Australian Sports Foundation Link https://asf.org.au/projects/manning-river-rowing-club/
Thank you to everyone who has supported me in this venture over the last few years. Particularly the members of Manning River Rowing Club without which this never would have got off the ground.

Blessed are the cheese makers
Blessed are the cheese makers!
Thirty three year old Hugh McLeod is taking the plunge from rowing to making cheese.
He is bucking the trend by moving into the primary sector.
Farming and related industries find it hard to attract young people.
However Hugh is taking over Taree-based Comboyne Culture cheese operation working closely with outgoing owner Peter Jeffrey.
This is a dramatic shift from more than a decade in rowing including boat building and coaching.
What needs to be done to make farming and the wider primary sector a viable career for young people?
No more classes this week.
Classes will resume Tuesday afternoon from 4:00pm and 5:30pm
