💙💛 LIFE MEMBERSHIP | LEITH WALLIS 💛💙
Congratulations to Leith Wallis, who was inducted as a Life Member of BTFC at Presentation Night! 🐜
When Leith was ready to play Senior football in 2011, there was never any question who he would play for. He had already been a Bullant for 12 years, representing the club through every junior age group from Tackers through to Colts and playing more than 150 junior games.
Quiet off the field but a leader on it, Leith has always been one of the loudest voices out there, encouraging, directing and doing whatever was needed for his teammates. Predominantly a backman, he has never hesitated to play wherever the team needed him, whether that be on the wing, in the ruck or up forward.
Leith has played 219 games for the Bullants, kicking 88 goals, including 169 Senior games and 52 goals. His achievements include a Seniors B&F fourth place in 2018, premierships with the U19s in 2011 and Seniors in 2012, and being named Centre Half Back and Vice Captain in the 2014–2023 Bullants Team of the Decade.
But perhaps what best defines Leith is his willingness to keep going, no matter the circumstances. A perfect example came a few years ago at Ajani, when Leith badly injured his ankle trying to stop a goal. After hobbling from the ground, it seemed certain his day was over. Yet when we returned to the ground, there he was back in the backline, ankle wrecked and still doing his job for the team.
That commitment, toughness and willingness to put the team first has been a constant throughout Leith’s Bullants journey.
Bullants through and through, Leith has always given everything he has for the club and his teammates. His loyalty, leadership and unwavering commitment have made him a thoroughly deserving Life Member of our great club.
Congratulations, Leith! 💙💛
