Newtec Pistol Club Incorporated Started in 1970 by refugees from Belmont PC, Newtec has grown ever since. We foster a safe and inclusive club.

Newtec is and will remain a multi discipline club for all those wanting to actively participate in sport can.

It turns out everyone was wrong Im not a perfect A'bleeep Ive made mistakes on the application form like a complete plonker.

So Ive redesigned the Joining page.
To make life easier we have a printable form to handwrite and a fillable form to complete with a PDF program.

Trying to make life easier for you all and remember , we aren't the government if you aren't sure or struggle just put what you can and we will sit down and fix it up with you.
For the most part you are new to this so its ok to not be sure and that is what we are here to do support you and ultimately get you enjoying range time not being tied up on papers.

We are here for everyone that genuinely wants to have fun, enjoy their recreation/sport without the old outdated club rubbish.

Yes, I watched crackerjack and it sent reminded me of why clubs used to be like and some still are!

Get applications in, and get things going now! wait lists and uncertainties are just power trips and silly! we know time is tight and you you don't want to be stuffed around.

Give us a go, and join a club moving forward not stuck in the past.

Come on people !

Let’s get some people following and supporting our local shooting clubs….

If I wasn’t so ugly I’d start making ‘influencer’ videos but it might send off the wrong impression with a McDonald’s bag over my head (eyes optional).

Newtec is going to be the pinnacle of inclusive and enjoyable shooting in Newcastle. We don’t want old hat and and what worked in 1903, this is 2026.

Newtec wants a diverse range of participants in our club, not just people that fit mould.

Yep we are focused on safety and compliance and will not compromise this at any stage, but that is what you want from any place isn’t it ?

Newtec isn’t here to rip you off or sell you a fantasy, we are human, we are direct, and we are here for you. Newtec won’t rip you off or mislead you with promises of a membership! We take the risk no money up front until you have successfully Completed the competency test, if Newtec isn’t the right fit or shooting isn’t for you there is no financial penalty to you.
We are respect that it’s not all about money, it’s not all about ego or being the best shot (subjective) it’s about learning, practice, experience and ultimately enjoyment.

Just remember always ask yourself when you read a review or hear something on the grapevine, what’s the other side to that story.

With Newtec it’s the ability to build a club that is people centric and enjoyable while being incredibly safe with good process, not a mirage/fantasy that ends up being somewhere you are isolated and feeling left out.

We have some great people and a great future, be apart of that, don’t accept outdated and antiquated that seems to be the offer.

Oh! We have older members for sure, talk to them they are nice people and have some funny stories but also a wealth of knowledge, you could be envious like some are of the achievements of the older members (that they understate of course)

Homer is excited!

The Newtec Associate Program is coming soon!

We are waiting to welcome y’all, more people should enjoy this range and this new program really brings that home and allows you to maintain your home club having the best of both worlds 😊

There’s one scary thing rifle licence holders can participate too!

Newtec is all about shooter and a safe friendly place to enjoy the sport, we are not about a discipline, we are about the sport.

There will be a launch post coming soon and please appreciate this is new so please be patient with me I’m getting old I know what a VHS and Commodore 64 is so I’m slowing down apparently. 😂 it’s true though

Hey just a note for the keen people out there.

With the club website the members area is only for our financial members there is nothing exciting behind there is mainly admin for members and possibly some interesting photo assignments for out committee, I thought they were fitting.

I just don't want you guys to feel like you are missing something other being rejected, thats not the intent its is just not relevant for non members and everything of importance to everyone is open.

Oh some feedback!

Why am I so crappy at the Facebook and instathing!

Short answer its not my thing, Im looking for someone to help with this so if we have any young members that do this stuff well please get in touch! PLEASE!!

I've actually been thinking of asking the mortals people to do it for us they are super active and seem to know.

I just want people to understand why this is so lacking in polish. happy to discuss and have someone help out. We want to get things moving forward and modernise, I admit im old and kids we didnt even have a mobile phone and internet in every house and school when I was younger so this is not what I grew up with, hence the struggles.

Moving forward is the Newtec direction

Yeah I let the cat out of the bag a little.

Newtec is developing an Associate program this would hopefully benefit the club and the shooting community.

Newtec is a large facility, we are moving forward with positive changes so keep your eyes out on the website and here we will have much more to add soon.

We have a committee that is focused on an inclusive club that is family friendly, we want younger members to get involved but we also appreciate that you may want to take part while retaining full membership with your current club, completely understandable and why this is being developed.

Honestly it's been a huge couple of years and lots is and has been done so moving forward Newtec will be a good place over time with new ideas and greater inclusion but everyone needs to work together.

Look forward to discussing this further.
