This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and wants to build a genuine career in golf course turf management.

Wednesday Rolling | Shaw Holds off the Luke's

Wednesday’s all-day rolling competition delivered another strong black tee stableford at Teven, and this one had a proper chase unfolding across the day.

Steven Shaw got in early and posted the number.

His 20 points went up on the board and gave the rest of the field something to stare at, chase down and try to beat.

As the day rolled on, the two Luke's gave it a serious crack.

Luke Cannon matched Shaw on 20 points, while Luke Saad continued his excellent run of form with 19 points, keeping the pressure right on the top of the leaderboard late in the day.

But when the cards were counted, it was Steven Shaw who held firm, claiming the win on countback.

Behind the top three, there was plenty happening. In-form John Kempton was right there again on 18 points, joined by Darryl Piper, Big Ben Neilson, Gregory “Tin Cup” Furney and Michael Crummy.

Jock Walker, Torie Mathew, Andrew Hoolihan and Guy Angwin rounded out the top group on 17 points, showing once again how tightly packed these Wednesday leaderboards can become.

A score posted early. Two Luke's chasing late. Kempton still lurking. Tin Cup in the mix.

But Shaw’s number stood tall.

Tuesday Shotgun | Perkins Rebuilds and Rises

Tuesday Shotgun delivered a proper black tee par test at Teven.

A full field. Wind in the air. A bit of dampness around the course. Fast greens. Fresh cut holes.

It was the kind of afternoon where nothing felt automatic, and from the black tees, the par format gave players very little room to switch off.

At the top, it was Mark Perkins who found a way to get it done.

And he certainly did not take the easy route.

Starting on the 3rd hole, Mark opened with a blocked tee shot out of bounds — not exactly the ideal beginning to a nine-hole shotgun. But from there, he rebuilt the round brilliantly.

Instead of letting the start define the day, Mark settled in, found his rhythm and worked his way all the way to +3, sharing the top score with Daniel Bishop and Wayne Porter before claiming the win on countback.

It was a great response in challenging conditions, and a reminder that in par golf, there is always time to fight your way back if you stay in the contest.

Guy Angwin was close behind at +2, while Shane Jacobs, Paul Sironen and Daniel Mackenzie all finished in positive territory at +1.

Garry Oxley, Denise Dries and Anthony Pennisi rounded out the top ten at square, showing just how hard it was to push clear of the field.

A tough start. A strong response. A full-field black tee battle.

September Medal | Big Ben Clocks in for Medal Glory

The September Medal brought a full field to Teven on Saturday, and with Father’s Day weekend in the air, the dads of Teven clearly came ready to play.

Fast greens. Tricky pins. Medal pressure. A leaderboard full of family bragging rights.

Across the field, there were plenty of father-son storylines to keep an eye on. Rod Sironen, Luke Cannon, Mikko Helle and Joel Thomson all found themselves right in the mix, while Oliver Neilson made sure the next generation still had a say near the top of the board.

But the day belonged to Big Ben Neilson.

After hearing his son was playing well, Ben found another gear. He lifted when the round started to matter, navigating the tricky pin positions and faster greens to post an outstanding -4 and claim the September Medal.

It was a brilliant round in a full-field Medal, where every shot carries weight and one loose hole can quickly undo the good work.

Mathew Crook and Rodney Sironen were next best on -2, both pushing hard and keeping pressure on the lead. Oliver Neilson finished solo fourth at -1, while Scott Coster rounded out the top five at even par.

Libby Lee and Luke Cannon finished at +1, with Joel Thomson, Mikko Helle and Rebecca Burton rounding out the top ten at +3.

A Father’s Day weekend field. Dads finding form. Sons keeping them honest.

And Big Ben rising to the top.

Spring is underway and there are plenty of chances to get out on the course this week, with the Black Tees featuring across all three competitions.

Monday – Monday Play
Start the week with a relaxed social round, submit your card and enjoy your complimentary post-round drink.

Tuesday – Black Tee Par Shotgun
It’s you versus the course on Tuesday afternoon. Win your holes, limit the losses and see who can finish furthest into the positive.

Wednesday – Black Tee Stableford
Our all-day rolling competition gives you another crack at the Black Tees, this time with Stableford offering a little more forgiveness.

Thursday & Friday – Social Golf
Pick your time, grab your playing partners and enjoy Teven at your own pace.

Saturday – Black Tee Stableford

Wednesday Rolling | Sara Clears the Field

Wednesday’s all-day rolling competition saw members take on a white tee stableford, and the leaderboard had a strong theme near the top.

The ladies came to play.

Sara Hughes produced the standout round of the day, signing for an emphatic 20 points to claim the win and sit clear of the field.

It was a commanding performance in a format where momentum matters. Over nine holes, there is not a lot of time to ease into the round. You need to start well, stay steady and make every scoring chance count.

Sara did exactly that.

Behind her, Julie Haydon and Toby Wongkruth both finished on 18 points, sharing second place and staying closest to the winning score.

Then came a strong group at 17 points, with Karen Sullivan, Virginia Gleeson, Scott Lindsay and Lismore’s Luke Ryan all right in the mix.

Neville Alcorn, Neil Charles, Adam Rose and Ian Davile rounded out the top group on 16 points, showing there was plenty of solid scoring across the field.

But this one belonged to Sara.

A strong white tee stableford field. Ladies right in the thick of it. And Sara Hughes delivering a clear win with a quality round.

Matchplay Championship | Final

The 2026 Teven Matchplay Championship has come to a close, with Don Scholten crowned champion after a hard-fought final against Jack Lowe.

After weeks of matches, momentum swings, close finishes and pressure moments, the final delivered a fitting end to what has been a brilliant championship.

Don proved incredibly steady when it mattered most, eventually defeating Jack 2 up to claim the title.

Matchplay is a different beast. It asks players to manage more than just the scorecard. Every hole becomes its own contest. Every missed chance feels bigger. Every recovery matters. And when the match gets tight late, composure becomes just as important as ball striking.

Across the championship, both Don and Jack earned their way to the final through quality golf and plenty of nerve. Jack’s run deserves real recognition, pushing all the way to the final and helping produce a match worthy of the occasion.

But in the end, it was Don who owned the moment.

A composed final. A strong campaign. And a well-earned place on the Matchplay Championship honour board.

Tuesday Shotgun | Kempton Kicks Off Spring

The first day of spring delivered a leaderboard with a bit of everything at Teven.

A tight stableford field, a few standout moments, and another strong win for John Kempton.

John finished on 21 points to sit alone at the top, continuing what has been an excellent recent run. In a field where plenty of players were close enough to keep the pressure on, he found just enough separation to get the job done.

Behind him, there was a strong chase.

Declan Kirwan, Luke Whittington and Jack Oates all finished on 20 points, just one back from the lead. Luke’s round included a brilliant eagle on the 4th, while Jack put together a strong par run to keep himself right in the contest.

Anthony Pennisi, Cory Levene and Wayne Porter were next on 19 points, with Jacinta Oates close behind on 18. Gavin Payne and Ben Harris rounded out the top ten on 17 points.

There were plenty of good stories across the board, but the headline belonged to Kempton.

A new season. A strong round. And John finding the top of the leaderboard to start spring.

Congratulations John — a quality win on the first day of spring.
