Meet Broden. He heads up the USC Youth Academy, and this September he’s launching our first ever Youth Athlete Experience.
Sixty seconds on what it is, who it’s for, and what every kid takes home. If you’ve got a kid aged 11 to 16 in your world, this one’s worth the minute.

We’re launching a first of its kind in The Gap.
The USC Youth Athlete Experience. Two weeks these September school holidays where kids 11–16 train the way real athletes train. The big lifts, taught properly. Performance testing: sprints, jumps, strength. A team and a wristband. And a Game Day to settle it.
This one’s for the next generation of our community. Every kid, from the ones chasing a sport to the ones who’ve never touched a bar. An athlete is any kid who decides to get better, and everyone gets screened into the right group on day one.
Mon/Wed/Thu · 4:15pm · 21 Sep – 1 Oct · early bird $140. Groups are capped so every kid gets coached.

Friday conditioning crew on the 🎤
The goal isn’t to avoid training. It’s to do what’s right for you today.
Your capacity changes. Sometimes it’s a ni**le, sometimes it’s time off, sometimes you’re simply not at 100%.
That doesn’t mean you need a different program. It means you need the right version of the program.
We check in before the session, adjust when needed, then use how you pull up the next morning to guide what happens next.
Same training. Smarter decisions. Better consistency.
That’s autoregulation — and it’s how we keep you progressing without constantly pushing past the line 🙏

The next six weeks at USC: social padel, pickleball, a Sunday run club, 42 hours for a good cause, and our 4th birthday.
Throughout September we’re running a social season. Time together outside of training, to celebrate the community as much as the work.
Pickleball and padel on the turf on the 5th. Run club on the 20th, with a social 3K walk or a 5K run, whichever you feel like. The 42 Hour Challenge over the first weekend of October, for its 11th year, and we’re getting behind it. And on the 3rd, USC turns four.
Come to one, come to all of them. Whatever suits your week. Bring your family, bring a mate. Everyone’s welcome.
Members, RSVP under the Social Season tab in the app. Not with us yet and want to come? Come along with someone who is, or send us a message.
Meet the Coaches // Ep 5: Coach Junior 👋
Continuing our series introducing the people behind the coaching team at USC.
Next up – Coach Junior. He’s been here since day one. Back when USC was still finding its feet, Junior was already on the floor coaching, and this year he’s officially joined us full time as our Head of Rehab and our Exercise Physiologist.
If you’ve ever come in carrying a ni**le, a bad back, a dodgy shoulder, or something a scan gave a scary name to, chances are you’ve sat down with Junior. He’s the reason “I can’t train right now” turns into “here’s what we’re doing instead.”
Rehab at USC isn’t sitting on the sidelines. It’s training with intent, and Junior is the one who makes sure people keep moving forward when life or their body gets in the way.
Four years in, same standard, same care. 👊
Keep an eye out for Ep 6!
Can you guess which coach is next?
Strength. Power. Endurance. Conditioning.

The USC Off-Season 🏋️♀️
We’ve just wrapped our Winter Rise training block. Eleven weeks of Peak and Perform, chasing progress week to week, and the whole team showed up for it. Now we’ve changed gears into the off-season.
Chasing those big goals in training is what gets us strong. But do only that, year round, and you slowly get narrow. Strong in a handful of movements, a bit rusty in everything around them. And it’s usually those rusty corners where ni**les and plateaus quietly turn up.
The off-season is how we look after all of it. Patterns you haven’t touched in a while, ranges your joints haven’t visited recently, new ways of loading you. Not easier. Broader, and better for the long game.
If you train with us and something’s felt new this week, that’s the point. Grab your coach on the floor and ask what we’re building. And if you’ve found this from the outside, that’s the kind of thinking behind how we program training that builds our members up for the long-term, not just for right now.
