BAREFOOT BOWLS FAMILY FUN DAY!

If you’re looking for a fun day out with family and friends, come on down to my Barefoot Bowls Day at The Summit Bowls Club on Sunday, 15th November 2026, starting at 12pm!

There will be plenty of fun, laughs and activities for everyone to enjoy, all while supporting my journey as the 2027 Stanthorpe Showgirl, proudly supported by Ringmasters Cafe and The Summit Bowls Club.

Thank you to the Stanthorpe RSL Services Club!
We are incredibly grateful to be a recipient at the Community Grants Night. These funds will go directly toward running our upcoming carnivals, with every dollar spent locally, to support the amazing businesses that back our club and the Granite Belt community. Seeing the little bloke representing Dalveen State School brought a tear to our eyes and reminded everyone exactly why we volunteer—to support our kids and our community.

The recent weather managed to wash out several of our events. As soon as the call went out for a 1:00 PM social game, our bowlers answered the call immediately! Photos from Social Saturday
Four games of social bowls were played on Saturday afternoon. Results were as follows – Game 1 – Peter Balmer, Simon King and Rob Capelli 18 v Trevor Wilmot, Maree Ball and Bruce Frizell 15 – Game 2 – Rod Crome, Gwen Blackley and Pam Moore 15 v Vicki Smith, Larry Mullen and Brian Brown 8 – Game 3 – Dave Blackley, Rocky Thompson and Frank Taylor 21 v Leanne Mullen, Rod Newlands and Brian Wilmot 11 – Game 4 – Michael Surch and Joe Straatman 23 v Andy Chase and Adrian Jackson 12. Trophy winners were Maree Ball and Adrian Jackson.

• Drop your completed form into the designated box.
RULES & COMPLIANCE
• Must be nominated and seconded by financial Full Bowling Members.
• All candidates must sign the consent section. Board members must have (or be willing to obtain. A Blue Card and RSA certificate.

A lot happened at our Club today. Both greens received turf aeration.
A huge thank you to Stewart (Air 2 Turf) Both greens received essential maintenance to keep them in top-notch condition.
Plus, last picture, Greens Director, Frank, keeping the pests at bay with our fly deterrent equipment. Thanks for keeping our Club beautiful, team!
Ps. We don't have flies, they came to help!! One way to look at an unpaid cleanup crew!

The weather made bowls difficult on Saturday. Only one game of social bowls was played. No card is available. Some photos attached.
The next Crack-a-Jack event will be next Saturday October 24. A nomination sheet for this has been placed on the Notice Board. Or phone/text Maree 0438 642 527.
The AGM of the club will be held on Sat Nov 14 at 10.30am at the Club.
A special general meeting of the SDMDBA will be held at Warwick East Bowls Cub on Friday, November 6 at 10 am.
