Congratulations to our coach and champion swimmer Leila Nazimi on achieving SIX World Top Ten results in 2025!!! 👏

G’day Henley Masters Swimming Club Members.

Just a note on the recent passing of one of Our clubs Earliest Members.

Peter Zemitis, aged 88, passed away last week.

Peter was an active member of the Henley & Grange Aussi Masters, now the Henley Beach Masters Swimming club for over twenty years.

His involvement with Henley & Grange swimming club began with Lorretta & Pete’s support of their son Peter Junior’s Squad Training & Jetty to Jetty participation. Pete maintained contact with Henley & Grange Swimming club following their transition from Henley Beach to Thebarton pool in about 1993.

He continued lending a hand volunteering time with Trevor Carmichael on pool maintenance.

He joined the Henley & Grange Aussies around 1993/4, continuing into the 2020s with Heley Beach Masters, an almost a 30-year association.

Grumpy Pete, as he was affectionately known , was a founding member of the Cappuccino Lane , which still exists today, holding up the gold standard of, “More Chat & Less Swimming “.

Our love & condolences go out to Loretta & extended families.
