A positive step for the place we call home. 💙🤍

Thank you to Kat Theophanous for announcing that a re-elected Labor government will invest in a digital scoreboard at Hayes Park, and to Mayor Emily Dimitriadis for supporting our proposal.

We’ve been advocating for this for some time. It would improve match days across our junior, senior and All Abilities programs, with the potential to support community movie nights and events like A Night At Hayes Park.

Our players, volunteers and families put so much into this club. It’s exciting to see a commitment towards facilities that support them and bring our wider community together.

“How are you going?” is something we ask each other every week at the club. Tonight was a reminder to make time for the answer. 💙🤍

Thank you to Dan from WITHOUT FEAR and Sean from Solid Foundations Counselling for leading our World Mental Health Day event at Hayes Park, sharing their experiences and helping us think about how we show up for each other.

One message really stayed with us: you don’t need to have all the answers. Being present, listening without rushing to fix things, and checking in again can mean a lot.

Cricket gives us so many opportunities to connect, waiting to bat, packing up after training or walking to the car. Sometimes those ordinary moments give someone the space they need to talk.

Thank you to everyone who came along and was part of the conversation. We want Holy Trinity to be a place where people feel they belong and know there’s someone they can turn to.

Let’s keep looking out for each other, beyond tonight.

Plenty to look forward to at the Trinners this season! 💙🤍🏏

Beyond the cricket, it’s the catch-ups, friendships and time together that make our club what it is.

We’ve got a season of events coming up, and we’d love you to be part of it.

Players, families, past members and our local community, everyone’s welcome.

👉 Swipe through the calendar, save the dates and share it with someone you’d love to bring along.

More details will be shared as each event gets closer.

Let’s make it a great season, on and off the field.

We see our teammates every week. We don’t always see what they’re carrying.

This Thursday, we’re bringing our community together for Conversations That Matter, our annual World Mental Health Day event. 💙🤍

We’ll welcome back Dan Williams from WITHOUT FEAR , joined by Sean Menere from Solid Foundations Counselling .

Sean spent 16 years as an air traffic controller and two summer seasons in Antarctica. He’ll share what happened when COVID took him from a high-pressure role to not working, and draw on his work as a counsellor supporting people through life’s challenges.

Together, Dan and Sean will explore navigating pressure, looking after ourselves and having meaningful conversations with the people around us.

📅 Thursday 8 October
🕡 6:30 pm
📍 Holy Trinity Cricket Club, Hayes Park, Thornbury

Open to everyone, players, families, friends and neighbours. Bring a mate, come along and help us keep these conversations going.
