If you're in the Redlands looking for somewhere different to take your little ones. Here's a quick and easy stop to see some animals. They have a few types of chicken, alpacas, goats and inside they have caged birds (finches etc) and often have chicks.

Heads up though there are some free roaming animals if you have an adventurous or confident little one.

It's common for babies and toddlers to go through phases of loving and not so loving being in a baby carrier.

But before giving up on the carrier altogether, here's a few tips I tell all parents.

πŸ’œ Check their fit in the carrier.

πŸ’œ Have they just grown? their little legs may need more support now than before

πŸ’œ Is the fabric pressing against their head making them uncomfortable or triggering a reflex response

πŸ’œ Are they loose in the carrier? If they don't feel safe and supported they will likely protest.

If you're unsure of your bubs fit, most good carrier companies offer free fit check support, head to a Kangatraining class or chat to your local or online babywearing educator

Belly bands aren't the only way to support a growing baby bump.

Today I decided to pull out my Mumma Etcetera ring sling as I find it more comfortable when getting up and sitting down.

Have you tried a ring sling belly support yet?

Today we had the most lovely post term catch up with past and present Kangatraining and Keeping Mum mummies!

It was such a great morning seeing everyone just relax, let the older kids play, and connect with each other.

This was the only photo I took, but how cute is this little cup and saucer for Kaiya's babycino?! 😍

Thank you for the The Bush Oasis Op Shop & Cafe for being a great venue.

We've just spent most of the day at the Redlands 4WD & caravan expo and I just needed a bit of rest.

Kaiya has been loving lately and it's been a real lifesaver as this pregnancy progresses.

It uses her brain, moves her body, enhances focus and body awareness while still being low stimulation screen time.

What is your go to for some downtime while still keeping your toddler's entertained?

Why this week was bittersweet at Kangatraining Redlands.

Last week of term is always an extra fun session with lots of baby smiles, playtime and engaging with our little ones.

This week was officially the last session for term 3, but also the last for 2026 as I'm now on maternity leave 🀰🏼(34 weeks on Friday 😱)

I'm committing myself for classes to resume for term 2 after Easter 2027, so if you're currently pregnant or have a fresh new bub, make sure you're following along my journey going from 1 kid to two kids.

There'll always be spontaneous catch ups and meet ups while I'm on maternity leave, cause I find having a little bit of structure helps me stay sane.

Last, any tips for going from 1 kid to 2 kids? The good, the bad, and the ugly please.

Yep, today was our 3rd last class before I take a little break to prepare and welcome my new bub.

If you've been meaning to come along, we have just 2 classes left to learn some babywearing skills (maybe you've been meaning to learn how to back carry?)

Now's the time, and we have the best playlist running right up until September 15.

The countdown is on until I take a short break to prepare for the arrival of my 2nd little girl.

With just 4 classes left, now is a great time for a fun boogie with your baby and other mums who just get it.

I've packed our class track list with mood boosting nostalgic hits that verge on the best karaoke set list, but we get to dance to them (singing optional - I often do πŸ˜‚)

Book a casual class online via my profile link.
