Tom Price Gymnastics Club

Dear Community,

Tom Price Gymnastics has been a valued part of our town since before 2014. While community interest remains strong, the club has declined in recent years due to the technical nature of coaching and the behind-the-scenes commitment required.

We need to be clear:
If we cannot move forward now, the equipment will be sold before July 2026, making it extremely difficult to restart the club.

A Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held to form a committee (or temporary committee) and determine the future of the club.

Friday 6th March

Mountain View Sporting Club (The Golfie)

What we have:
Funding for coach training (online course + 14-day assessed workshop)
Flexible term commitments
Full equipment setup ready to go (large apparatus, mats, foam sets and accessories)
Funds available for additional equipment

What we need:
Two committed coaches (flexible days, 8/6 rotation possible, must complete training)
A strong committee team (office bearers, registrar, uniforms, setup/pack down support)

**Coaching is a PAID position at fitness award level + super**

It's time to announce our August 2025 Ashburton All Stars!

Congratulations to the following community members who were nominated by their peers for incredible impact they have on their towns in August:

🌟Onslow – Tess Harris
A name synonymous with Rodeo in Onslow, Tess is a tireless advocate for the promotion of the sport in WA, our town of Onslow and the Pilbara. Her year-round dedication, which includes chasing sponsorships, managing paper trails, organising rodeo schools, and promoting events, is a testament to her commitment and passion for the sport.

🌟Tom Price – Sara Ward
Sara has been the heart and soul of the Tom Price Gymnastics Club for many years. As a dedicated coach and tireless volunteer, she has shown up week after week, pouring her time, energy, and passion into building not just a club but a safe, inspiring, and joyful space for children across the region.

🌟Pannawonica – James Gorman
As the long-serving President of the Sporting Club, they have not only led with dedication but have also championed the success of many other local clubs—offering guidance, encouragement, and hands-on support to ensure each one continues to thrive.

🌟Paraburdoo – Kyle Green
As the new president of the Men's shed in Paraburdoo, Kyle is actively making positive changes to the shed to improve the space for our community to access.

Term 4 Update

Sara Ward has been coaching for Tom Price gymnastics since 2020, single handledly for half of her service. The club's success and longevity is 100% due to her unwavering commitment, knowledge and skill in the sport. It's now time for Sara to step down. We are sure you will all wish her the best health, success and happiness, as we do.

Gymnastics classes will not run in term 4.

The club will close until a full coaching staff can be sought. Please read the full notice from our president.

Interested in coaching?? Here is the low down:

Coaching is a paid position. The coaching course is approx. 10 hours of online training with arrangements following to complete the practical workbook requirements. This practical section may have to be completed outside Tom Price. Once qualified, you will be expected to commit to weekly classes during term time, on days that you choose. New coaches will continue to train and become a club coach educator so that more coaches can join the team and share the load.
