We're back with our 10th Annual Review, presenting TWO MASSIVE (unique) shows jam packed with tap, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, ballet, contemporary and circus on display.

Come support our local talent from Tom Price and Paraburdoo and enjoy a fun evening out at the Ashburton Hall, Paraburdoo.

SHOW SEASON!!!

Show season is officially here and we are so excited to display the skills students have been working on in classes.

We can't wait to see our new performers grace the stage for the first time, see the growth in confidence of students who may have performed previously and see the artistry of seasoned performers on display. Celebrating every student from their first 'tendu', 'cartwheel' or 'roll' to improved 'performing faces', connection to 'musicality' and the ability to 'story tell' on stage.

Every step along the performing journey is worth celebrating!!!

Many costumes have already gone home, with more being handed out over the next two weeks. Please ensure these items are cared for highly as all items are HIRED.
Some costumes will not be sent home. These will be made available at Dress Rehearsal and be backstage for Shows.

Today we brought back some OG costumes, dances and parade songs to celebrate Jarndumunnah Festival returning to Tom Price.

Was pretty cool having an ex- student who is now a mother of two very excitedly remembering her own time in the parade and Yellow and white costume!

CONTAINER'S FOR CHANGE

Now's the time to be a part of our Containers for Change drive as we continue to fundraise for our amazing cover teacher to come up for Term 4, 2026 and Term 1, 2027!

Drop you're cans to the depot and state our cause to donate to!

Otherwise look out for our amazing vollie Sharon Janssen who will be doing pick ups for those who need it!

DANCE STEP

Our Dance Step Student Teachers demonstrated their understanding of different muscle groups this week.

The program includes units of study on anatomy, allowing students to better understand their own moving bodies as well as understanding why things are trained a certain way.

Often when a skill is achieved, students throw them repeatedly and forget which muscles are required to do them safely.

How we teach students to engage changes for the different age groups. For example to achieve an elongated spine our Tinies: put on your big kind heart, Juniors/Inters: Visualise stacking body parts like building blocks, referencing the bones, Seniors: Connecting alignment to direction of muscle engagement.

We discussed the importance of the foundational work, no matter how far they may progress in new skills!!
