S A R A H has been a familiar face at Antara for years, and from tomorrow, you’ll find her at the front of the reformer room.

She loves flowers, her job in an operating theatre, has travelled to more than 30 countries, and her favourite place to be is in the International Terminal of any airport at 6am.

Pilates and yoga have been her constant through all of it, helping her feel at home in her body, wherever in the world she happens to be.

Now she gets to share that with you.

We’re very happy to call this long-time member one of our newest teachers. (And yes, for those keen observers - this is another Sarah. We’re not imposing limits 😆)

What a beautiful invitation by the yoga teacher (thanks Amy) to feel whatever comes to the surface. I had slipped into a morning yoga class for the sheer pleasure of being a student again rather than the teacher out the front. As soon as I rolled out my mat, I surrendered to the adventure. And it was good!

We’re incredibly humbled to have been recognised as a finalist in this year’s Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

Six years ago I simply hoped to build a place where everyone felt welcome. Where movement genuinely supported people’s lives, and where community wasn’t something we talked about…. it was actually felt.

I’ve always believed there’s more than one way to build a business. Showing up consistently, quietly, humanly, is also a way.

To see this recognised by the business community is incredibly meaningful.

Like every small business, we’ve had seasons that really tested us. Running a small business is deeply rewarding but it can also be incredibly hard - and I know we’re not alone in that right now.

If you’re another small business owner reading this, I hope you hold onto why you started.
