s ankle injuries in our family we started riding freeboards more than normal water skies. Over time we started riding wider freeboard’s to lessen the strain on our bodies. A ‘Ridiculous Water Ski’ with its boot-free design, allows total foot rotation lessoning the risk of ankle injury and overall strain on the joints. Its custom, simple design is very easy to ride – even for beginner water-skiers …. This is due to its flat bottom and construction from premium AA Grade Australian Marine Ply: these two features help to reduce drag in the water and create a simple, light ski that is easy to use and easy on the body

I have been a social skier for over 30 years and loved every minute of it until 10 years ago when I found I was having a lot of trouble holding on to the rope when being pulled from the water. I bought gloves and that helped a little but then I started experiencing stiffness in my fingers and joint pain for a week or two after a weekend on the water. I was finding I couldn't hold on for long without it becoming too painful in my wrists. I persevered like this until a number of years ago when I would only have one or two skis for the entire weekend and then the rest of the time I would be boat driver.
