Love a great adventure! Stay fit, explore the world around you, love life!
Meet Britta:
Britta is coming to run the Long Course (Karri) at Run Bibbulmun Track Stage Race this month – a 107km trail running endeavour over 3 days.
But...
While Run Bib is considered as a BIG athletic goal by most people, it’s only the second part of a much larger adventure for Britta. That's because, this wild woman is riding over 950km of the Munda Biddi Trail just to get to the start line!
Here’s what she says about the trip:
"I'm a runner, but I'm also a cyclist, skier, swimmer and general adventurer. My favourite trips include at least one of the above but even better if it's more than one!"
"My partner Bill and I have been wanting to do the Munda biddi trail for years- the cycling equivalent of the Bibbulum, an off-road route running from Perth to Albany. We've done quite a few bikepacking trips including the Tour Aotearoa, Vic Divide and San Juan Huts in Colorado- plus various circuits straight from our own front door- and it's our favourite way to travel. "
"Life at home is always busy and this is a way to simplify: ride, eat, sleep, repeat- plus see some amazing places in a way that so much more immersive than most means of travel. And we hear there are some good pubs along the way!"
"I've been doing quite a few running races over the past few years, following on from my 100 mile Alpine Challenge in 2025- and Run Bibbulum looks like a lot of fun, so I decided to try pulling it all together."
"I'm not sure if cycling 1000km is the best way to taper for a running race, but I know I'll be feeling mentally refreshed and hopefully I can survive."
Suffice to say, Britta sounds like she has life figured out: Simplify to relax; hardship = happiness; and nothing beats a good pub after a long day on the bike!
Can’t wait to meet you on the 23rd Britta.
Happy riding,
The (in awe) Rapid Ascent Team
𝐏.𝐒. Britta is looking to car pool with other runners at Run Bibbulmun (she will only have a bike!). Let us know if you’re running and happy to share a ride.
