Mickaβs 400th game
β½οΈππ 400 GAMES | MICHAEL POCKLINGTON ππβ½οΈ
This weekend, we celebrate one of the biggest milestones in Surf Coast FC history as Michael βMickaβ Pocklington takes to the field for his 400th appearance for the club.
And 400 games doesnβt quite tell the full story.
Since joining Surf Coast FC in 2005, Micka has given more than two decades to the club he loves β playing, coaching, leading and simply being part of the fabric of SCFC.
With 400 appearances, 52 goals and several seasons as captain, Micka holds the record for the most games played for Surf Coast FC in the clubβs history β by a long way.
His commitment has been extraordinary. There was even a season where Micka regularly played three games in a single weekend. And when a broken ankle ruled him out for the entire 2017 season, it still couldnβt keep him away from the club.
Because Mickaβs contribution has always extended well beyond the pitch.
He has coached our Senior Women, Sunday Men, Junior Girls and MiniRoos, served on the Committee, and was deservedly recognised as a Life Member in 2022.
The Pocklington familyβs contribution to the club is also forever part of SCFC, with one of our grandstands proudly carrying the Pocklington name.
21 years. 400 games. 52 goals. Life Member. Club record holder.
But more than the numbers, it represents loyalty, leadership, passion and service to Surf Coast FC.
ππ Congratulations, Micka.
400 games is an extraordinary achievement β and your contribution to this club is even greater.
Hereβs to celebrating a true Coaster legend this weekend! π

β½οΈππ©· PATHWAY FOOTBALL | MASSIVE WEEKEND AHEAD π©·πβ½οΈ
Itβs a massive weekend for our CPL Girls, with a rearranged fixture against Murray Utd on Saturday followed by a trip to Mill Park FC on Sunday. πͺπ₯
With plenty still to play for across all three teams, the weekend could be a defining one for our girls. Our U13s head into the weekend with their campaign firmly in their own hands, knowing six points could potentially secure them the league. The U15s are currently sitting in 2nd spot and will be looking to keep the pressure on at the top, while our U17s continue to fight it out for a top-three finish.
ππ JBAP FINAL ROUND
Our JBAP teams also play their final games of the season this Sunday, bringing their inaugural Metro campaign to a close. The boys have shown plenty of fight, spirit and determination throughout their first season, and theyβll be looking to finish on a high and give everyone involved a final performance to be proud of.
Itβs a huge weekend for our pathway teams, so get out and show your support for the players, coaches and everyone who has helped make these programs what they are. π
A massive thank you to everyone involved in our CPL and JBAP programs for an awesome season. ππ©·π
Letβs finish strong, Coasters!

β½οΈππ COMMUNITY TEAMS | FINAL ROUND ππβ½οΈ
Itβs the final round of the regular season, and there is still plenty to play for across our Community teams!
π©· WOMEN'S TEAMS
Our Senior Women have already secured top spot and their place in the finals β now theyβll be looking to build momentum heading into the finals campaign.
The Golds are also safely through to finals, while the Navy team still has a chance to make it. They have a big game at home and will be hoping for a strong result and a few results elsewhere to go their way.
π MEN'S TEAMS
Our Senior Men are guaranteed finals and still have a chance to win the league heading into the final round.
The Division 2 boys also remain in the finals hunt, but need a result and some help from other games.
For Division 3, itβs simple β a good result on Sunday will secure their place in the finals.
π₯ There is still so much to play for!
Itβs shaping up to be a massive weekend for the club, so get out, support our players and help get as many of our teams over the line and into finals as possible.
ππ Let's finish the regular season strong!

β½οΈππ STATE MEN | FINAL GAME ππβ½οΈ
One last time for 2026.
Our Senior Men head to Williamstown SC this weekend for the final game of the season, with our place in State League 2 secured for next year.
With the pressure of the season behind them, itβs a chance for both teams to finish the year on a high and put in a strong final team performance. πͺ
Itβs also a great opportunity to acknowledge the commitment of everyone involved throughout the season. It hasnβt always been easy, with plenty of challenges to overcome, but the boys have dug deep, stuck together and finished the season strongly.
A huge thank you to all our players, coaches and support staff for their commitment, effort and belief throughout the year. ππ
One more game. One more performance.
Let's finish the season on a high!

β½οΈππ©· PATHWAY RESULTS WRAP π©·πβ½οΈ
Another strong weekend for our CPL Girls, coming off the fantastic news that we have secured GVYPL2 status for next season. ππ
All three teams backed it up on the pitch with wins, including a particularly impressive performance from our U17s. π₯
And there could be a huge weekend ahead, with the prospect of a double fixture if Murray United can confirm to our rearranged game from the dissappointing washout in previous weeks. Plenty of opportunity for our girls to shine as we head towards the end of the season.
Our JBAP teams showed plenty of heart and determination. The U13s earned a hard-fought point against Altona City, keeping their finals hopes alive, while the U14s and U16s came away with losses but made their opposition work hard and competed right through to the final whistle.
ππ Big heart. Strong performances. Plenty still to play for.

π©· SENIOR WOMEN | LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! π
A draw was enough for our Senior Women to secure the league title, capping off an outstanding regular season. The girls have been dominant throughout the campaign and can now head into their finals campaign full of confidence.
Our Gold Women also secured their place in the finals with a great result, setting up an exciting finish across our Women's program.
π SENIOR MEN
A fantastic win on Friday night keeps our Senior Men in the hunt for the league title heading into the final round. Everything is still to play for!
Our Division 2 Men also kept their finals hopes alive with a valuable win on Friday and will head into their final game full of confidence.
For our Division 3 Men, a late loss to Geelong Rangers means next week's game is now a must-win to secure a finals spot.
π₯ One round to go. Finals spots on the line. A league title still within reach.
It's all to play for across our senior teams as we head into the final round of the regular season.
ππ Let's finish strong!

β½οΈππ STATE MEN | RESULTS WRAP ππβ½οΈ
What a way to finish our home campaign!
Our Senior Men produced a seriously impressive performance, recording a dominant 4β1 victory over Uni Hill Eagles FC in their final home game of the season.
The result also secures our place in State League 2 for 2027 β a fantastic achievement and reward for the hard work across the season. ππ₯
It was a tougher afternoon for the Reserves, who were reduced to nine men and faced a difficult challenge.
But there was a real positive to come from the game, with a number of bright young players from our pathway program making their senior debuts. Seeing the next generation step up and represent the club at senior level is a great sign for the future of Surf Coast FC.
π State League 2 secured. π The future is bright.
