ISOHEALTH Women’s Self-Defence Course — Sunday 11 October

We’re very excited to announce our next ISOHEALTH Women’s Self-Defence Course.

This practical, evidence-informed one-day course combines the theory, awareness, decision-making and mindset aspects of self-defence with practical physical training.

The goal is not simply to teach a collection of techniques, but to help women become more aware, more prepared and more capable.

Early Bird — $245 inc GST
Standard — $305 inc GST

We’re deliberately limiting the course to a maximum of 18 participants.

A number of places have already been booked by women who were on our waiting list, so if you’d like to join us, we’d recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later.

Saturday morning vibes. Great sesh. Great people!

Yesterday I had the incredible privilege and honour of awarding Nato with his 1st Degree on his BJJ Black Belt! 🥋

Nae is an incredible person. If you’ve met him, you likely already know that much. What you may not know is that for all the awesomeness of Nato that people see, there’s a whole lot more awesome stuff he does that very few people ever see.

Yeah, he can roll. Yeah, he can coach. Those are the obvious, visible things that anyone can see.

But what many don’t get to see is the incredible way he can build people up. And I mean people who never thought they would have a hope of doing half the things they end up doing once they’ve been around Nato for a good while.

Nae was only a relatively new White Belt when I could already see he had the God-given gift of being able to elevate people in a way that very few people can. That rare quality stood out so strongly that it’s the reason he became the first coach I ever trained up at ISO.

And there’s another part of this story that makes yesterday feel even more special to me: Nato was actually the person who first asked me to start teaching BJJ. ISO’s BJJ program may never have come to exist if Nato hadn’t asked for it.

I find it incredible to sit here and think about how awesome it is that, 20 years later, we are still on the mat together week in, week out, and it honestly feels even more exciting than ever before.

So much to do, so many people to help and so much joy to experience in the process. 🙏🏼

A great day at Valley Muay Thai with Blake stepping into the ring for his first amateur Muay Thai fight, locking in the win with some clean clinch work and solid leg kicks.
