Townsville Picnic Bay Surf Lifesaving Club Nippers, or correctly named, Surf Life Saving Junior Activities, have been operating in Queensland since 1965.

Townsville Picnic Bay Nippers was formed in the 1967/68 season to provide children in the 6 to 14 year age group with the best possible lifesaving and sporting experience, with a view to encouraging

Townsville Picnic Bay Surf Life Saving Club offer a program of surf awareness, skills coaching and competition over various levels, similar to the events Australia’s surf lifesavers participate in. Townsville Picnic Bay’s emphasis is on FUN & PARTICIPATION QUALIFICATIONS (COMPETENCIES).

What a weekend!!!
🏇Thank you to the Ewan Committee for trusting Picnic Bay SLSC with the bar for another very successful year!
🏇It was a MASSIVE weekend at Ewan this year with a lot of very thirsty patrons. The crowd was amazing and we thank you for your support, stories, laughter and craziness across the weekend. 💕
🚌🚌Bus Drivers- Cam and Ces- thank you for driving our essential crew each day 🙌
🔥Our clubbies -ALL our club members, friends and family who attended really stepped up this year to ensure this weekend was a success. It was definitely a huge weekend but they all pushed through. Weekends like this don’t just happen it’s a credit to you guys who made the weekend a success.
