🏏 SUBBIES WEEKEND CRICKET WRAP 🏏
What a HUGE weekend of cricket it was for Subbies! 🙌
💙 1st Grade Men
Subbies took on the reigning premiers and kept them to 212, with Chris Perry (2/24) and Gaurav Patel (2/32) rattling the sticks! 🔥
With the bat, Captain Chris Gartrell battled his way to a valuable 42, but the reigning premiers proved too strong, bowling Subbies out for 100.
💙 2nd Grade Men
A HUGE welcome to newcomers Charters Towers
Subbies posted an impressive 318, led by a fantastic 106-run opening partnership between Josh (75) and Het (65). Supporting them were Nathan Mansfield (46) and Luke Wilson (46) with some serious hitting! 💥
With the ball, Captain Adam Warren (2/21) led from the front, while junior Subbie Nav Smith (2/65) made his mark in 2nd Grade.
And the best part… 2nds secured their FIRST WIN of the season! 🎉👏
💙 3rd Grade
The 3rds travelled to Home Hill and made the most of their trip!
Subbies knocked over the home side for 111, with Andrew Vincent (3/16) and Captain Kane Laneryie (3/23) keeping things tight and economical.
With the bat, David Schurbert (44) and Jason Moody (29) put together an impressive 75 run opening partnership, helping steer 3rds to their THIRD STRAIGHT WIN! 🔥🔥🔥
💙 4th Grade
4ths had a fun day out against Wests, with junior Subbies Gabe Brewer and Connah Moore making their senior debuts! 👏
Leading from the front, Captain Luke Wilson posted a solid 56, while his eldest son Callum Wilson (19) watched on from the other end. 💙
With the ball, Subbies kept things tight as they tried to defend 123. Captain Luke led the way with 2/15, while debutant Gabe Brewer (1/7) made an immediate impact.
Unfortunately, it wasn't quite enough, with Wests edging out the win.

💙 Women's 1st Grade
Sunday afternoon was a HIT! 👏
Despite having a few less players, the ladies put 120 runs on the board, with young guns Connah Moore (23) and Caitlyn Jones (21) contributing nicely alongside Captain Laura Bates (22).
With the ball, cricket debutant Aroon Edgar snagged her FIRST WICKETS in hard-ball cricket, finishing with 2/23! 🎉🏏
Country Hewitt also impressed with 2/15 as well as season vet Dani Ford with 2/21.
What a successful weekend for the Subbies! 💙🏏
