School holiday cricket fun Subbies kids!

Looking to give the kids something fun to do in Townsville this school holidays? Queensland Cricket is running two awesome programs on July 6 & 9!

July 6 - for Boys & Girls aged 5-8 years
What: Exciting cricket activities, skills and modified games. It’s all about smiles, high-fives and building a love for cricket
Where: Endeavour Park, Annandale
When: July 6 - 9.30am-11.30am

Boys and Girls who were registered to a club or association in the 2025/26 cricket season and are aged 11 – 16 years can attend this amazing cricket development opportunity. Please note: Youngest players MUST turn 11 in 2026 (Born in 2015)

Keen to increase your umpiring knowlege and get a better insight into the game? Then come along to Saturday's Intro to Umpiring. It's open to anyone and everyone. No need to register, just turn up.

For those wanting to take the next step and earn your Level 1 Umpire Accreditation, you can do that too.

There is an online component (About 40 mins) but it can be completed after the Face-to-Face session on Saturday.

If you are eager to start the process online, Follow these steps:
1. Navigate to https://play.cricket.com.au/learn/umpire
2. Click on the yellow button “Access PlayCricket Learn”.
3. On the next screen, click on the yellow [LOGIN] button, and then sign in using your email and password.
4. Once logged in, click on the yellow [Get Started] button for Umpires and then select Community Umpire Accreditation when it appears. Click on Enrol and then scroll down to Community Officiating Online Module.
5. The learning material can be completed all in one session or in multiple sessions, according to participant needs. Please don’t proactively close any tabs or pop up windows, as these track progress through the learning.
6. Once the online component is completed, participants can then sign up for the Face-to-Face workshop and pay the $40.00 accreditation fee to Cricket Australia
